Check in the bios settings if there is any LAN Boot ROM option. If yes then enable it. Now you will be able to boot from LAN provided there is Server running which supports PXE

Hello,
Please enter into the BIOS settings and verify if under Integrated Peripherals the setting for Onboard H/W LAN is Enable. As additional step select SMART LAN and see if it will detect you cable lenght and Etehrnet speed. If Smart Lan do not detect anything or you have a bad onboard LAN or the cable, hub, router has a problem.
If SMART LAN will successfully report back some information it means that the issue must be with Windows 7. If it's the case i suggest to completely remove the network card, reboot and re-install the drivers.

Please let me know if you need additional help.

I have a IBM thinkcenter 8123 model. I can't install lan due to lac of suitable driver! pls help me!

Go into the bios on your computer and shut down the onboard LAN, find a 3com or realtek LAN card and install it, windows has the drivers build in for most 3com cards, then you go to IBM site, download the drivers you need for the onboard LAN connection, remove the 3com card let the computer boot up, and when it asks for the driver point it to where you downloaded the drivers for the onboard LAN.

I downloaded my ECS 661GX-M2 sound driver but still its not working.what should i do?

go into the bios, and make sure that it has been selected to use onboard sound or onboard audio, if that does not work, and if you have the motherboard manual. look and see if it has motherboard jumper settings to use for the onboard sound. ive noticed also with alot of motherboards the built in soundcards dont perform very well but hopefully this will lead you on the right track!!

System unable to boot and showing signs of motherboard audio device conflicts(device type realtek)

hi iasmeer,

-to just boot up without any sound device,
remove any soundcards from the PCI- slots, disable the onboard sound device in the BIOS!
It looks like you are facing IRQ conflicts, your computer cannot handle all the hardware devices installed.
to solve this,
in BIOS set IRQ management so that the BIOS handles the PCI devices(set everything to auto),
disable the plug'n'play-operation system option to prevent windows from doing the same thing again( it'll then just take the IRQ information provided by the BIOS)
now enable the onboard sound device and make sure you have all
the drivers for the onboard devices(sound, LAN-card etc.) fitting your operation system on CD or thumb-drive, boot up and install the drivers.
Restart and by chance everthing isO.K. by now.

if not, please come back with more information on the sound device(onboard or not) and the winversion, so we perhaps can find you the appropriate driver(if you don't have it on the CD you purchased together with the mainboard..?)

Good luck

PC won't boot if SATA drive connected, drive works fine if plugged afterward

Try Hirens Boot CD. It has a lot of programs on it to detect format etc.
I think your hard drive has a missing or corrupt MBR and it needs to be replaced.
When I have had a hard dive not recognized I hve used Super Fdisk to format and reset hard drive.

Hi hartterc, there is a bios update for the onboard integrated LAN card. The update, Set "Onboard LAN Boot ROM" to Enabled in BIOS. Bios Version 6.2 Date; 9-02-2006 File size 380KB.
Please allow MSI to run the (Live Update) program on you're system. If you allow this to run you will not need to download & flash you're bios.
That is what MSI states! Click on the link below for Live Updt.
