I have an RCA television and recently the piture tube i suppose has messed up, the picture on the screen is too large for the tv. But yesterday I turned the television on and there are all kinds of different codes displaying such as: FAC07, MOD1, OPT, HDCNT ect. I don't know what this is and I cannot get it off the tv screen. Could someone please help?

The problem based on the model number is in or around the red picture tube---the bright red screen causes the set to draw too much current and the shutdown circuit detects this and turns set off--self protection.
Each picture tube (3) has a IC chip on the board connected to it--shorted chip or bad picture tube.
First pull back Look for screen and focus block you will have 3 controls ontop for focus and 3 controls below for adjusting screen drive to each Tube R/G/B
turn color off on Menu NOW try to Adjust the red, greenand blue screen drives as close asyou can to a Black and White picture then turn Color back on in Menu also adjust Focus for each Tube Be sure to Clean Top of Tube Lenses of dust&dirt Just in case Post me your Model and Chassis Number it will be on back of TV some RCA Focus&screen drive Block maybe in front of TV if so remove front bottom panel their you will see control box.
yes. tv has a circuit which controls current to the red, green, and blue piture tubes. you wont get picture until they are balanced. adjust the screen controls until it comes on faster. it should only take maximum 20 seconds for a picture. gaurantee it will fix it. adjust the screen control
This is usualy a bad picture tube. are there any bright lines running across the screen? It would be helpful if you could give the brand and model number
I have a problem with the colors on my RCA Home Theater model #P60752EB. I believe it to be faulty tubes or something cause my green and my red color is messed up to the point it will not come in at all.what should i do to resolve this problem without replacing the tv
A clue to what is wrong is by looking from the back (taking the back off) and looking to see if the three picture tubes have any yellow glow at the bottom of them where the three identical boards are located on each tube.. If you have no glow there you possibly have a resistor R4703 open. It is a 3.3 ohm resistor and feeds the voltage to the filaments in each tube where the glow is suppose to be. If you do have the glow the problem could be much more complicated. Another to check is to see if the menu comes up on the screen. You could possibly be in the wrong input mode, Check your input mode with the input button on the remote The number R4703 is a location number to identify where the resistor is. This is all I can tell you that would not require much more complicated procedures requiring a tv repairman to look at it. If you have an ohm meter you can check R4703 but it must be checked out of circuit. (or at least one leg loose) Hope this helps
If this fluid is gone, it has to be leakinfg out of the tube from bad seals on the tube. This fliuid can be purchaced from MCM electronics. What you are looking for is here:
