Hi, you may have already checked these, but just in case,
Over heating compressor:
Oil cooler is dirty
Clogged oil filter
Rotor blades sticking or broken
Insufficient oil in the unit
Defective thermostatic bypass valve

All compressor units generate a large amount of heat. In some instances the design of the unit=location and other possible variables may effect the ability of the unit to cool itself. A modification as long as it works, is safe, hasn't effected the performance of the unit, and hasn't voided the warranty, may be the best necessary solution.

Hi Guys, I have a Ingersoll Rand Compressor 7/41. Machine runs perfect but I have noticed that the Exhaust & Manifold is glowing red hot. I know they heat up but this is excessive heat. Any idea what...

The muffler may have a blockage in it? Is the exhaust inabdormally quiet? That's the culprit! Someone has stuffed something in the exhaust pipe exiting the compressor housing body!

I have a 500hp ingersoll rand compressor. I don't

Maybe you have residual coolant still in the lines from the leak you have already fixed and you just need to thoroughly blow them out? If the coolant is not just water maybe you need to rinse them out? Good luck!

I have a Ingersoll Rand P185 WJD air compressor and I need to know the type and quantity of oil to use.

Do not use 30 wt oil. It will wreak the oil/air seperator filter. Use Ingersoll Rand Pro-Tec fluid. It will hold approx 3 gallons.
