Re: Cant get front of dryer back on
Yea fun! the clips hold the small holes cut into the door itself, it a real pain in the but sometimes ti get them on , youll need to try to hang one side the n work the other side, dont try to do both at once, a little patience they will fit together, im with you though why they cant find a better design!!! they still use them on the brand new dryers

Take 2 screws out of the top where the filter goes in so the top can lift up. Slid the top forward to get to get the front of the top off the clips on the top of the front panel. If that don't work use a putty knife to push the clips back. Slide the putty knife in the crack to find the clips. Lift top up and secure it. Mark & remove the wires from the door switch . Remove 2 screws holding the cabinet to the front panel ,pull forward and lift on front panel to remove from bottom catches. Set front panel aside, remove old belt & replace. Grooves in belt go against drum.
Unplug the dryer. Open the door and remove a total of 4 screws, 2 on each side of the door opening. Two screws each hold a clip in place and the other two hold the dorr hinges. When you remove the screws on the door hinge, it shouldn't fall off, but be prepared for it to do just that. The door should come off by lifting the hinges upward and pulling the door away. The remaining part of the front panel is held on by 2 clips located toward the top sides of the u-shaped front panel. Pull the panel forward to release the clips and lift the panel upward to clear the two tabs and slots on the bottom. On each side of the cabinet, there is a blackish colored metal bracket that holds the top in place. Remove the fasteners that holds these brackets and remove the brackets by sliding them upward and away. The top should now lift up. You now have access to the fasteners that hold the baffles onto the drum. If , for some reason, you should want to remove the baffles, carefully note the different sizes of the baffles and what order they came off.
Here is the parts list for the drum of your dryer:
you will need to pull the front panel off. there are screws on the inside of the dry door, may be two on the bottom corners, gently pry up on the top corners with a flat tip screwdriver, disconnect dry door switch. Place panel to the side and lift top up. Remember to unplug the dryer first. hope this helped tim
Good day, Yes, it sounds like a broken belt. To replace it, remove the lint filter on top, and remove the 2 screws under it. With a narrow screw driver, pop one side of the li, then the other. Now rotate the lid up but do not go above vertical. There are 2 screws holding the front panel on at the top. Remove the 2 screws, and then unplug the door switch wires. and the support clip for them. With the front tilted an inch or 2 lift the front panel up and off.
The belt can be purchased at any appliance parts house. IMPORTANT> On some of the newer models the belt tensioner was nothing more than a piece of spring metal. It will be found on the bottom right side of the dryer floor. If that's the style, it's a known deficient part, and must be replaced with the old version with has a wheel. A good counterman will know all about it. Take the old one with you.
If it is that old, look at the bottom of the front panel, about three inches off the floor for a phillips head screw on each side. Remove the screws, swing the front panel up a bit and unhook it from top and set to the side. Now, you can remove the screws holding the top onto the side panels and swing the top back.
remove the lint filter, youll see 2 screws, remove the screws and with a small putty knife you cant pop the top using the clips approx 6inches in form both sides where the top meets the front panel, the top will then lift back giving youacess to replace the switch part number (3406107), very common incident
put back back on with top off remove screws in top corners of front panel remove bottom panel and screws holding blower/lint screen housing on remove door springs remove screws on bottom corners of front belt is probably lying in bottom
THE FRONT OF THE DRYER IS REMOVED BY OPENING THE DOOR AND REMOVING THE TWO SCREWS HOLDING THE HINGES TO THE FRONT PANEL. ALSO, REMOVE THE TWO SCREWS ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE OF THE OPENING. PULL THE FRONT PANEL TOWARD YOU AT THE TOP. IT WILL BE HINGED AT THE BOTTOM. ONCE YOU HAVE IT TILTED TOWARD YOU, PICK IT UP OFF THE BOTTOM HINGES.
THERE ARE TWO RETAINING CLIPS HOLDING THE TOP DOWN AT THE FRONT CORNERS. THESE CLIPS ARE HELD ON BY A 5/16TH HEX HEAD SCREW. REMOVE THE SCREW AND CLIP AND YOU CAN LIFT THE TOP. IT IS HINGED AT THE BACK AND YOU CAN RAISE IT UP AND BACK OUT OF THE WAY. YOUY NOW HAVE ACCESS TO THE OUTER SIDE OF THE DRUM. ROTATE EACH OF THE BAFFLES TO THE TOP AND TIGHTEN EACH SCREW AS THEY COME TO THE TOP.
