Re: Canon Bubble Jet iP1600

Hi meemee, If ink comes out of the ink nozzles on the cartridge then you probably just need to reset the printer page counter. Each time the cartridge is removed from the printer an empty cartridge message appears and a blinking amber light will display on the printer. Hold the paper feed button down for 3-5 seconds, and that should override the counter. If ink isn?t coming out of the ink nozzles then you may have an air pocket preventing the flow of ink. Try running your printer cleaning cycle a couple of times to see if that helps. Lastly you might try letting the cartridge site for 24 hours to let gravity try to fix it. As a last resort you can try unplugging your refill hole in the cartridge. If your cartridge ink is going to flow it will now, just be ready to re-plug the fill hole. Let us know how it goes and don?t forget to rate the post.

My Canon Pixma IP1980 print has lines and color is not even, to much green.

I have refilled my canon iP 1980 printer catridges and I am currently encountering 2 problems:

a) The notification telling me that the ink is running low wil not dissapear.

b) There are lines across my documents when I print them. Those lines resemble those that occur when the ink is running out. however, I have already refilled it twice and am quite sure that the catridge is now full.

Please help--your advise will be greatly appreciated.

My computer is saying that my ink on my printer is out but I just bought the ink today what is going on?What should I do?

Did you buy an original or refilled cartridge??

SOME of the catridges for Pixma will read empty even when new and full. ESPECIALLY the refilled ones.

I would return it to where you bought it along with your printer and test the new cartridge IN THE SHOP.

Canon mp460 printer. refilled cartridge not recognised

Dear Sir,

This is deffinately due to catridge circuit problem.Canon suggest that we have to replace emptied catridges with new genuine canon catridge they dont suggest refilling and also not give any support for refilling catridges. So you can replace catridge with new one.
This Happens due to weakining of catridge circuit portion or may long period printer not in use.
If you not want to replace catridges i will give you the possible hints it may fix refilled catridges.
1.Clean the catridge circuit portion with soft cloth, care must be taken that there is no smudge or ink traces on catridge circuit.
2.Clean the ciruit of printer catridge placing box present inside the printer .wipe out the any sumdge or ink traces.
Then re install the catridges. give the print if it shows error press resume button continuosly. I think it will fix your problem.
If it is not solution is replace the catridge with new one.

good luck

Ip1600 refilled Canon color catridge not recognized

I have not had good luck with refills, or off brand ink. The factory stuff does not give you this grief. The Canon is a good unit, give it the good stuff. Do not use 'clean cartrige' too much or you will get the waste tray full, and that's the end of your machine.

Printing intermediately

When you say print an inch then blank an inch. Does the paper move and the head work and imply leaves blank paper? Or do mean the printer stops a while then picks up from where it left off. Is this a bubble jet?- That is does the cartridge come with the heads built in and a contact strip on the side - Or is it the other sort where the cartridge is an ink tank and the head stays in the machine, but are removable? If you get a completed document but with blanks this is a head problem. If you get a complete full document but the takes breaks this is a computer spooler problem A head problem Take the cartridge and/or head out of machine and stand in a saucers with a tissue damped in a water /alcohol mix -Windex, or car screen wash, even Jack Danials or your favorite spirit. When the tissue is thoroughly discoloured[leave overnight]- replace and give the machine ar un and come back. If it is taking breaks but eventually giving a complete document then check out drivers/Scratch disk and software on the computer.
