1. unplug the ac adapter and remove the battery .
2. press and hold power button for a minute
3. now put the battery back and plug in ac adapter
4. turn on the laptop now
it should work.
if not, try removing hard drive and memory modules then reinstall them back.
if the issue persists, your motherbord has gone bad.
If the problem is also on an external display then maybe Windows Side Bar is loaded with no gadgets. Otherwise a replacement screen is the answer. See ebay for prices and availability.
You need to know the maker of your display card in the laptop. Once you have that information you can visit their site and download the appropriate diverrs for your adapter. Pess "Start" and goto "help and support" ->'use tools to view.....->'advanced system information'->view detailed system information'->'components'->'display'.
The name of your display adapter will be displayed at the top of the list, like this..>.Name Radeon X300/X550/X1050 Series.
