Shouldn't be any setup to it, Just plug it in to the correct components, and power it on, Granted your TV is on the right channel, you should be fine.

Xbox set up

If you have an Xbox 360 connected to a home network that also has a Windows Media Center, you can add your Xbox 360 as a Media Center Extender device so that you can enjoy the digital media on your Windows Media Center computer by using Xbox 360. For more information, see Xbox 360 online.
1. Turn on your Windows Media Center computer and log on to Windows. Verify that your computer is connected to your home network.
2. Turn on your Xbox 360 and verify that it is connected to your home network.
3. In Windows Media Center, on the start screen, scroll to Tasks, and then click add extender.
4. On the Welcome to Windows Media Center Extender Setup screen in Windows Media Center, click Next.
5. Press the Green Start button blank.gif on your Xbox 360 remote control or use your Xbox 360 controller to select the media blade.
6. On your Xbox 360, select Media Center.
7. On your Xbox 360, follow the instructions on the screen to obtain an 8-digit Windows Media Center Setup Key. Write down this 8-digit setup key. This is the key that you will use to affiliate your Xbox 360 with your computer that has Windows Media Center.
You do not need to download any additional software because the Extender functionality is built into Windows Media Center.
8. On the Enter the Setup Key screen in Windows Media Center, use the Windows Media Center remote control or keyboard to enter the 8-digit setup key that displays on Xbox 360, and then click Next.
9. Follow the steps in Extender Setup.
Several changes are automatically made to your Windows Media Center computer during the Extender Setup, including changes to the Windows Firewall settings. For more information about Windows Firewall, see Windows Firewall: recommended links. During this time, the Windows Media Center Extender service (which is named mcx2svc) starts on your computer, along with other dependent services.
If you have a firewall running on your computer that is not the Windows Firewall, make sure that the firewall software is set up to allow Xbox 360 to connect to your Windows Media Center computer as a Windows Media Center Extender. Some firewalls are already set up to allow Xbox 360 to connect to a Windows Media Center computer as a Media Center Extender. However, other firewalls will require you to make changes to how the firewall software is set up. For more information about which firewalls are already set up to allow a Media Center Extender connection, as well as information about how to set up other firewalls to work with a Windows Media Center Extender such as Xbox 360, go to the Firewalls and Media Center Extender article on the Microsoft website.
10. After Extender Setup has finished, in Windows Media Center, click Finish.
On the TV that is connected to Xbox 360, the Windows Media Center user interface appears. You can then enjoy live TV, recorded TV, pictures, music, videos, and other digital media on your Xbox 360 as you would in Windows Media Center. A new user account named mcx1 (by default) is automatically created to use the Extender.

Thanks and hope that helps!

Xbox universal remotes

The remote control you specified here have no setup codes to Xbox. If you wish to get a universal remote control, which will work with Xbox, you have to know whether the remote control you are going to buy, have setup codes to Xbox.
If you wish to get more details about this, check these links. It has setup code list, and setup proceedings to many popular brand remote controls. Brand name of the remote control isn't a matter, but its code list should have setup codes to Xbox. Check the linked sites with patience, and choose one brand remote control, according to availability. http://remotesearch.blogspot.com/

Pull up previous posts by its left sidebar, or type in the brand name and model number to of your set, to its search box, and press 'Enter' or view it in Mosaic / Timeslide option.

How do I hook up a x box to it.

What kind of connector do you have with the xBox? see:

You'll need any but the top HDMI as your TV does not have that capability:

Can xbox 360 work on my TV in another room if I have wireless setup?

The Wireless setup only allow you to access networks? Nothing to do with signal out to a TV. So I guess NO.

We have sound but no picture on the xbox 360

The first thing to try is to remove the external hard-drive from your Xbox and see if the picture comes back. If that doesn't work you may have the video resolution of the Xbox set too high for your TV to display. Try reducing the Xbox resolution and see if you can get a picture. There is a switch at the end of the cable where it plugs into the Xbox that says TV and HDTV. Try setting it to TV. If you know someone with another Xbox 360 that you can borrow you can use it to debug your problem. If their Xbox works on your TV try swapping out the cables. You can see if your Xbox works with their cables and if their Xbox works with your cables. You should be able to narrow your problem down to either the Xbox, the cables, or the TV setup.

Best setup for Xbox 360 for Sony 32" Tube WEGA tv

Hi, Not sure whether you are kidding or not. You don't mention the tv model so I will try to help using a KV-32FS100 as an example. You really only have 2 choices assuming you have a current model xbox 360. The component cable that comes with the xbox has 6 connectors, a green, blue, red, yellow on one part and a white and red on the other part. On the back of the tv below and to the right of the s video connector are inputs labeled Y, Pb and Pr and are colored Y is green Pb is Blue and Pr is red if they aren't colored that is the correct order. Don't connect the yellow to anything. The red and white on the other part of the cable go directly to the right of these connections. It will say audio and L and R they should also be colored but if not white is L and red is R. There is also a small switch at the xbox end of the cablewhich you need to slide to HDTV. Once you are powered up don't forget to enter the setup menu on the xbox and select the settings for your tv. Again without knowing the model most wega tvs limit the component input to 480p which was the limit of a dvd. I hope this is helps.

Black and White Only

I had a similar problem when I first connected my son's xbox using the Audio/Video cable (red, white, & yellow connectors). I connected the cable to the TV correctly, but incorrectly selected "component" as the input on the TV setup. Result was black and white display. Switch your TV input mode to "AV" or "Audio/Video" and you will get color.

FYI, "component" TV mode is only used with devices that use the red, green, & blue connectors.
