Question about Gateway GT4016 Desktop PC

My gateway is not turning on!?

When I press the on Button the light just blinks orange 2 times and then nothing happens the fan doesn't start and if i press it it just keeps blinking twice i do not know where to go from there i need some help! thanks!

Not knowing for sure which model of gateway computer that you have adds a small problem to diagnose. Most Computers when started have a green light when the computer starts with no problem.
The amber light indicates a failed power supply or overload, with a voltage
loss to the motherboard. Unplug all hard drives. If unplugging all hard drives does not solve the problem
then the power supply needs to be replaced, if the problem clears with the drives unplugged then reconnect them one at a time to find which one is causing the problem.

The most likely possibility is you need to replace the power supply. If you have a power supply tester you can check it. If not you may want to borrow or purchase a new one. They, for the most part, are not that expensive. I hope this helps. Joe

I am getting this message: WASTE NEAR FULL The waste ink tank* (which holds the ink used for print head cleaning) is nearly full. How can I fix it - the model is a Canon PixaMP110


One of these will reset the message. I reset mine about 2 years ago and have had no need to replace or clean the waste pad.

printer powered off but connected on power source , you must:
1. Press & hold stop/reset button, and then press & hold [ON/OFF] button.
2. When Green power lit, leave stop/reset button & press twice stop/reset (see orange indicator).
3. Leave On/Off button. Printer in actually service mode.
4. Press stop/reset 4 times (see orange indicator) if not blink restart above process from top.
5. After press stop/reset 4 times successful press On/Off button 3 times. printer will off.
6. Press On/Off button.

PLEASE TRY THIS, Probably your waste ink counter. Should be cleaned or replaced before resetting but usually you can get away with resetting once.
1. Start with printer OFF
2. Hold down RESUME and then hold down POWER
3. Release RESUME
4. press RESUME twice, then release POWER
5. let green light blink until printhead has finished moving.
6. Select functions below with RESUME, execute with POWER

0 presses - green light - Test Print (exit service for i960)
1 press - orange light - EEPROM info print
2 presses - green light - EEPROM initialise
3 presses - orange light - reset waste ink counter

Ok this may do the trick, can only try.Also if you are using the Refillable ink cartilages stop they always cause major issues

1) With the printer powered off but connected to a power source, press the Power button while pressing and holding
the Stop/ Reset button.
2) When the Power is lit, press the Stop/Reset button two times while pressing and holding the Power button.
3) When releasing the Power button and the Stop / Reset button (regardless of order), the printer will move into a
service mode. (Waiting for menu selection)
4) When the on/off lights in green, press the Stop/Reset button the specified number of time(s) according to the
function listed in the table below.(Each time the Stop/Reset button is pressed, the LED lights alternately in
orange and green, starting with orange.)Note: press 4 times for waste ink counter reset.

2 times Green EEPROM print
3 times Orange EEPROM reset

5) Turn off the printer.(it must be turn off)
then turn it on again.

No picture or sound


Does anything start to work? Any of the three fans start to turn, Lamp ignite, etc., when you press the power button or does nothing happen before the Red LED starts blinking. How many times does the RED LED blink?
