Save hours of searching online or wasting money on unnecessary repairs by talking to a 6YA Expert who can help you resolve this issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.

If you go to microsoft's website you can somtimes download the individual files, if you go into c:\\ (or what ever your hdd is called) then program's files, find microsoft office, click Ctrl F and then type in the name of the file.
If this dosnt work go to http://pcwindowshelp.com/software.htm?gclid=CK_4oKmswJUCFQ6T1Qodb18fRA
they can somtimes fix the problem. Guy

It can't be downloaded, it's on the CD. I know - you don't have the CD. You
can try the following *but no guarantees*:
1. Click on start==>run==>type "excel /s" without quotations and click ok.
2. Once Excel is up in safe mode with the error message in front, hold down
ctrl+Alt+Delete keys on your keyboard to bring the task manager up.
3. Click on the processes tab==>look for msiexec.exe (only the one next to
your user name), click on it and end the process.
4. Excel should be running without an error message now==>close Excel in
safe mode==>reopen it one more time in safe mode to check if it is opening
with no error message.
5. Close Excel/s and open Excel normally, it should work fine.
If it does work - don't download trial versions of software that can affect
the software you have but don't have the disks.
Hope i helped.
Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

Go into Registry Editor (Start, Run, “regedit”).
Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, Software, Microsoft, Office, 11.0, Delivery.
There should be only 1 directory under Delivery, which is your DownloadCode (mine was 90000409-6000-11D3-8CFE-0150048383C9).
Select that directory.
On the right side of the screen, right-click on CDCache.
Change the value to 0.
If it says 12, follow same formula
