Lost sound in the left earbud

After using them in my macbook for a while the sound in the left headphone disappeared.... down to nothing..... tried it with my ipod, same thing. no sound in the left earbud.  these are only one day old?  the strange thing is i bought them to replace the old headphones that had the same problem.  could my mac have broken just 1 ear bud, but leave the other one working fine?

SOURCE: my skullcandy earphones are busted

could be caused by the way you wrap them up the cords should never be wound tightly it causes a short and it just so happens that earphones are made of light weight wiring to make them seem to disapear when wearing them so what to do is instead of winding them when your done simply fold them loosely so to speak

SOURCE: My dog chewed my headphones and one is hanging by

Headphones in general are not repaired but replaced, even if you found one the cost would be on the high side, probably more than what you paid for them. I would use them as long as they will last and hunt for a new one.

Why did my left earbud become silent?

you can make both of the earbuds work. You can open the earbud where the speaker is that you use to hear the musik. Use a soldering iron and a lead. check if the wire inside has removed, fix it back and you will hear sound on both earbuds.

Take care.

Lost cover with tiny hole in my earbuds

The wax is probably microscopic on the diaphram. You won't be able to clean this. Unfortunately, you'll probably have to send them to Shure for repair/replacement.

Left earbud problems

Well, I had the same problem with the right earbud. Luckily I was under warranty with Target, so they told me to contact Bose. I did and they had me send in the headphones (to make sure I waas telling the truth) and about 2 weeks later I got my earbuds back. Their customer service is excellent, so that's what I would reccomend

Sony MDR-NC11 Left Earbud has no sound

They should come apart right where the metal meets the plastic, just below the buds themselves - be careful, one set like that I took apart were actually surface-mounted to the housing, there weren't any leads to repair...

Sweat got into earbud- sound very faint

That happens because the water and saline solution in the sweat are causing the wires inside the earbud shorting to each other, or shorting to the earbud casing that is grounded.

Let the earbud dry out in few hours or more, if the problem does not go away, then get replacement heaphones, it means that oxide formation on the contacts is causing a short.

Do not use shorted hearphones they can cause damage to the connected device.

My left earbuds on my JVC gummy earphones went out.

I have this problem all the time with my JVC earbuds. This may sound a little gross but it will work. I put the ear phone in my mouth and **** on the end of it pretty hard. What I have found is that sweat or even wax will plug the little hole and prevent the sound from coming out.
