Question about Heating & Cooling
I tried answering your question about whether I used the Install Test, but I am new here and I don't know if it posted.
Yes, I went through the schedule and the Install Test where you test heat, cool and fan. They all work fine and checked out. This thermostat has a disply that offers off, cool and heat like regular thermostats, but it is also supposed to auto-changeover between heat and cool. On the LCD display heat and cool and off are offered, but not Auto for auto-changeover.
The manual mentions that there has to be a 3 degree difference between heat and cool settings and I have it at 72 and 77, so this should not be the problem.
The system has 4 wires and the factory installed a jumper to (Iassume) power both the heat and AC transformers. It was on in the old thermostat so I left it on in this installation.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
