Front keys will not work on my lg env2

you cant. all env2s front buttons will break. mine did!

i have the same exact problem ..D:
i've gone through 4 different ones, all with the same issue.
they said no one ever complained of it and i was likeeee

You don't want to remove the front cover, if the front keys aren't working, than you should bring it to your nearest Verizon Wireless store. If you are able to push them but they don't respond, than it's a hardware problem and they will send you a replacement only if you purchased the phone within less than 1 year. If the buttons cannot be pushed down, than you might have spilled something on it, but take it to the Verizon store to see what they can do. Much better than you taking it apart then no longer being able to use it.

Well the reason that they stop qorking is because when you open your phone up all the way, it tears something in your phone. to get it to work. hold down the okay button. open the phone while you are still holding the okay button, then close it back and release the okay button. it is not a permenant fix but it works for a little while :)

hold the volume rocker down and click the * key a couple times. I did it by accident and it worked. It might just be my luck but my phone had the ok button and the bottom row of button broken for 2 months and this some how fixed it.

My buttons: OK, *, 0, and # do not work intermittently.

There is no real solution to this problem. Return your phone and get a new one.

Alternatively, there sort of is a workaround: If you hold a key that does not work, then press a working button (while still holding the broken key), it will act as if the two keys were pressed. For example, if you want to use the broken OK key: hold OK then tap 2 and it will think you pressed OK then 2. There is no way to work around having to press an extra key.

my env2 is doing the same thing. on my first phone the 789 and send button stopped working. then i got a new one; the same one kind; and the same buttons wont work. and also it keeps shutting its self off. and there is NO way im getting the same phone again bc its guunna do the exact same thing.

I have been having this problem as well! Also, my internal screen is just black all the time now. It used to just flash every second while the phone was flipped open, then it just completely shut off and now its always black. This is a problem on lg's side, i didnt do anything to the phone.

okay! i agree with the person that said to press their knuckle into it! lol...

and i read that one.. and i was like.. wow.. you have got to be kidding me.
but i tried it.. and it WORKED! (:

ok take the pgone put your knuckle on the ok button until it work !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

remove the battery. hold down the power button for 15 seconds and release. this empties the remaining battery life from the phone. replace the battery and turn the phone on. this should remedy ur problem. this will be required every 1 to 2 months.

Every Env2 I have had has had the same problem, except my phone is older than one year at this point so I can no longer exchange it. The OK, up, 4,5,6,7,8,9,0,*, and # keys do not work, nor did any of the above tips work.

i also have this problem with the front buttons. the OK, 0, # buttons dont work. thats ******* ********. combined with the screen problem, i cant answer or receive texts half the time! im gonna be taking it to verizon in a couple days to get a replacement. i just tried the "holding OK and opening and closing the phone" method and that worked. thanks

my ok button, * and 0 weren't working. but i tried the one piece of advice on here and it worked.
simply hold down okay, open the phone, keep holding down ok and then close the phone. ok, * and 0 should work. you might to keep doing it but it does work

I had the same problem with the okay button. But all you have to do is press the okay button down as hard as you can, because its on "sticky key" and then it will work.

There is no resolving this issue. Removing the battery and inserting it again doesn't work. You just have to hope you have insurance on the phone or its not up and get a new one. Good luck to everyone with this issue!

I've also had the issue of the *, 0, # and OK buttons not working. None of the other solutions seemed to work. I found what has worked is if you apply a decent amount of pressure to the bottom row ( *,0,# ) it will allow all 4 buttons to be used. However once you open the phone and close it you will have to reapply this fix. A bit annoying, but dealable.

My env2 did the exact same thing the OK button on the front doesn't work and neither does the *, 0, or #. If this is happening to more then one env2, verizon people should give us new phones! Since it's obviously not our fault! Oh and I also tried the knuckle thing, it worked for a second and then it stopped again!

the one about holding the ok button down while you open the phone works **** you have to do it every time you want to use the ok button

I tried ALL of the strategies listed above and none of them worked! My OK,*,0,#,7,8,9,4,5,6,up, and SEND buttons don't work, so I can't use my phone like at all from the front. I got this phone about 4 months ago. This shouldn't be happening to a phone this new! I am definitely not getting this phone again...

I wish I knew how to solve this problem, Because my okay *0# buttons aren't working. And sometimes my phone will randomly turn off, And sometimes I can't hear anything on speaker phone. And my moms not doing anything about it cuz she's like "I could just let you use a crappy phone without a keyboard"
