Lexmarkx4200 keep saying to check the tape or troubleshooting.

The lexmark x 4200 keep state to check the tape or troubleshooting no model number at this time.

Will the printer print at all? Is this a error your getting on your computer? have you tried to reinstall the drivers?

This is a lexmark x4200? How long have you owned the printer? What is the exact error message you are receiving and how long have you been having this issue? Once I have more information I can assist you further.

Printer say's "please load paper in auto


This could be a printer driver problem. Try to uninstall your existing Lexmark X4270 printer driver from your computer. On your computer, go to Start menu > Programs > Lexmark 4200 Series > Tools > Uninstall. After the process, reboot pc when prompted.
Check if your Windows 7 is running on 32-bit or 64-bit operating system. Go to Start menu > right-click on Computer > Properties. Take note of the System Type.

Since I have changed the cartridge, Whatever I try there is a message displayed :"cover open".

Not know your printer that much but I do know with printers with this fault it is the cover sensor or the switch that is at fault try to look where the cover closes there will be some sort of plastic there that comes between the sensor or switch this may be broken or not push in far enough, it broken you can stick some thing there to make it think it closed.

Can not fax the paper say connection failed lexmarkx4270

Remove the black ink cartridge and examine the print head on it - you will probably find a small piece of tape (very thin) covering the jets - usually blue in color - remove it and reinstall the cartridge.

Error Message 1203??


These steps are for a Lexmark 4200, but I suspect they will work for your printer as well:

Cartridge Error: 1203

Your print cartridge has a short.

1. Press Power to turn your All-In-One off.
2. Unplug your All-In-One from the wall outlet.
3. Plug in your All-In-One.
4. Reinstall the cartridges.

If this does not resolve the problem, see More troubleshooting options, or replace your cartridges.

There will be blue tape when turn the cart upside down please remove the the tape ...and check there no tape :if the printer states the same error remove the cart and check for the error if error is displayed turnoff and remove power adapter for 30 sec and reconnet it back and check for the error If displaye it printer problem..

Did you remove the the tape covering the contacts? Of course you did. Re-install new cartridge. Open the lexmark all-in-one center software and in the top left corner the third option is "Maintain/Troubleshoot". Click on "Maintain or fix quality Problems". Click on "install new print cartridge" and follow the instruction.
