Question about Venturer PVS1950D Car DVD Player

Video screens My video screens are not working all of the sudden. I've tried both of them and tried switching around the cables, but the screens remain completely blank. They don't even appear to be coming on. Thanks

Re: video screens

I am experiencing the same exact problem. I can turn the DVD player on and it spins up, but no signal is getting to either screen.

I can't hear sound/music from my IPod. I've tried plugging it in the iPod cable an USB cable. The screen shows that it's playing but I can't hear anything

Make sure your volume is turned up on your ipod and in the car make sure nothing else is playing. Also check your instruction book and if all fails take your car back to where you bought it from and explain what has happened also make sure it's properly pluged in!

Re-wire stereo in rover 400 cant find power wire

The following should be right, unless your car has different wiring colours, there are a few variants...

Yellow and Red = Switched +'ve feed from the ignition
White and Blue = Permanent +'ve feed
Black = Earth (-'ve)
Red and Black = is for the illumination when sidelights are switched on

If the above doesn't work join the following MG-Rover forum: And add me as the referer: HotTubRepairer

Boat battery 12 volt drains down in few days. I hooked up volt meter in line positive wire to circuit to elec lift, it shows just under 1 volt steady with switch in off position, could this be the drain on...

1 - isolate the swithc completely
2 - remove the +ve terminal from battery
3 - conduct continuity check between +ve & -ve lines from on any lines possible.

A short is unlikely, as this would either blow a fuse, or cause you a fire.

It does sound like you have something that is draining power constantly, or you have something that has risen in resistance (water environment can cause verdigris and bridging to occur) this is not enough to power the given unit, but certainly enough to drain a battery.
HINT - Apply vaseline to any exposed copper or contact points.

AVIC-N2 stopped working and wont stop flashing PLEASE HELP!

Sound like the ribbon cable because before breaking off completely the vibration of the engine can cause current to fade in and out(open and close circuit).

The new ribbon cables had also found to be defected and failed some within 3 months, the best ribbon cables are sold by that guy on ebay. His ribbon cables meet military spec. I have no affiliate with him but good service will get you good reputation.

Dvd won`t work correctly

If your getting the "Can't view dvd in drivers view must apply parking brake" you need to recheck your ground. You might want to try another location for the ground. If the unit is VM9410 you can simply ground the parking brake wire and you'll be good to go.
