You will have to check with your ISP to see if they offer a v92 service line or you can subscribe to an internet answering service like Callwave.

If I'm understanding right, you are plugging in a regular "residential" phone into a phone system jack. The system phones work differently than home phones and you won't get a dial tone out of the jack unless you use a system phone.

Two of our outgoing/incoming lines are "Camped". We are unable to access either line to disconnect.

When you tie two lines together like that, the quickest way to make it go away is to physically power down the phone system.

Wait about 20 seconds and plug it back in and the lines will clear.

Can I transfer the incoming calls to a different number

The best way is to use the Flash button. You will have to have Call Transfer on each phone line you have with your phone company to do this.

So when you have a caller tell them you will transfer them, press the Flash button and you should hear a new dial tone. Dial the number you are transferring to then hang up or press the Flash button again to conference the three of you.

This is better than conferencing two calls together because as soon as you hang up your line is open again. If you conference two calls two lines will be tied up for one call.

Phone won't transfer to next free line when a second call comes

If you are not getting a dial tone then something is holding the line off hook. Disconnect any other device you have on your lines and check to see if you get your dial tone back. If you still have no dial tone unplug each phone and check again. You may have to disconnect everything for a minute or two so the phone company will reset its equipment. Plug in your phones one at a time and check your dial tone every time you add something new.

If you add something and you loose your dial tone immediately you may have a crossed connection in the wall socket, any splitters or in the phone plug. Check to make sure all of the wires in those sockets are straight before you plug in your phone wire.

If you add your CC machine and everything is good but it fails after you run a transaction you will have to contact the supplier of your CC machine. It is not hanging up the line.

I have installed an 8 port slt card and cannot get the extensions to dial out. Can receive incomming but not make internal or external calls

If you installed the 208 or 308 extension card, you also added 2 or 3 extra C.O. lines. When you dial "9" you are accessing lines that don't exist (the new highest lines).

Go into system programming and choose option 3.3 or program 400 and disable the additional lines.

1 lines is ringing & another is not ringing

Somewhere you should have a programming and operating manual for your phone system. Typically in a Panasonic you turn on CALL WAITING for both Intercom and Outside lines via a code you dial at each phone on the intercom (7311# 7321# for a TA).

This is assuming that the lines are already programmed to ring at the phone.

Cannot get dial tone

try to make an incoming call to the phone in question by dialling the phone number from a mobile or whatever.if the phone does not ring then the line itself is not connected or has a wiring problem.
so if no dial tone and no incoming calls then check the line itself

Incoming only line

a programmed incoming only button has a direct inward dial line assigned to it and would have to be removed in installer programming. its under your line appearances.
