Okay. Plugged it in to charge it, and the sonicstage software said that it was updating the device's database. It then showed an error message stating that it can't use intelligent features because the database isn't updated (which, again, it had just finished trying to do). If I just unplug the player, it seems to be working fine until a message appears stating that there is no database. If I try to choose any option from the main menu... it simply tells me that there are no songs on the mp3 player (though there are over 800 on there... Or, rather, were, before I tried the resetting method.).
So, I tried resetting it. To no avail. Still the same, just with no songs, now.

I had the same problem and fixed it by initialising the disk of the walkman (under Settings - Initiaize disk) in combination with the installation of the newest Sonic stage software (that takes a lot of time!). This will remove all songs on the walkman, but the problem was fixed.
