Question about Projection Televisions
I Have a bow in my picture and the image is 3D. I have an HD52W59 model RCA big screen, I read that it is either the convergence board or the convergence power supply. where is it located in the TV and how can i tell which one is the problem? I don't want to buy both if only one is the problem, it is expensive for either part.
Hope you can help!
i have the same problem with my R52WM24 with no convergence option in the menu
The rca itc222 chasis uses no stk the convergence is controled with transistors... the convergence amp board is located above the main signal board(green board)... it can be identified as the one with several heat sink fins on it. FL231 is related to convergence.. there has been a problem with this fuse when it blows the processor doesnt know it is a projection set so it turns it into a regular tube tv. Here at the shop we have found number one reason this fuse blows is poor solder connection on the flyback. So replace the fuse and reflow the solder connection on the flyback and around that area also the horizontal transistor and then see if that doesnt fix the problem.
