I have Blomberg WM87120 NBL00 Product code 717518110 and had flashing Lock in display. Bought and installed new lock and no change. Display still flashing lock. Used following procedure and every is working now.
Press pause button and hold down while turning off machine.Continue to hold pause button and turn power back on. If numbers come up on display make note of them for future reference. Release pause button and all lights on display will light up. Turn power off again and then turn back on. If machine was in a cycle it should end it and then return to normal operation. .Dont know if new lock made a difference. Try the reset procedure first.
Hi Debi: First I suggest to try unplugging the unit for 60 seconds to reset the control board. If that doesn't work then open the dispenser and remove the softner and bleach container. There is a cord near the front you can pull to open the door lock. If you still have issues with your door lock after manually opening the door, you will need to order and replace the door latch assembly.
Also I could bet you need to replace your door latch assembly. Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I'll appreciate
your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about
This is a
common problem, often associated with a momentary power failure when the
controller doesn't get time to reset and return to an idle state before the
machine gets power back and it gets "confused". Regardless of the cause, you will almost
certainly find that unplugging from the mains (Not just powering off on the
button, as some door locks have a sneak circuit, even when the power is turned
off at the button) and leaving the machine undisturbed for a full 20 minutes
will allow a reset, the door lock will disengage and all will be well when you
power back up. Additionally,
on older machines with analog program selectors, turn the selector to an end of
program setting before you power it off.
First of all, make sure haven't inadvertently locked your control panel. Press and hold the DRAIN/SPIN button for 3 seconds to see if it clears. How long did you unplug the washer for? The manufacturer recommends unplugging the washer for at least 30 minutes to reset the computer. Try this first and let me know what you have. It could be you only have a minor glitch.
If these preliminary checks prove unsuccessful, you may have a control panel problem. Do you have any error codes deisplayed? Please reply and let me know what you have.
