SOURCE: Keystone 8mm movie projector

Re Keystone 68 projectors:
I join the growing throngs of folks who wish to view their family archives in 8 mm before submitting the reels to the digitals for conversion. Doesn't anyone have an answer for us? I continue to search, if I find, I'll post.

What make and model of projector are you using ? Some of them have a removable spindle cover, for using 200 foot reels.

I have a Keystone K75. The film will not stay in a loop after going through projector so it goes through too fast and you cannot watch the movie. Any ideas of what is wrong?

When threading the projector you must have a loop of film before and after the film gate (the part that swings open). You can also try turning the projector on with no film in it and make sure both upper and lower sprockets are turning. If this is a new problem you might have a broken belt or gear inside. Take it to a camera repair shop and they can tell you more.

THREADING FILM IN A ELMO FP-C PROJECTOR

Is your film super 8mm? If yes, then the red sprocket above the lens should be pushed in, and the bottom black sprocket will stick out. If you have regular 8mm, then the black bottom sprocket should be pushed in. If the sprockets are not in the correct position, push the green lever forward (towards the screen) then open the two orange tabs, then push in the correct sprocket. Once you have the correct sprockets aligned, close the orange tabs. How to tell if you have 8mm or super 8mm film: Look carefully at the film image. If the sprocket hole is next to the middle of the image, it's super 8mm. If the sprocket hole is between images, it's 8mm.

HAVING TROUBLE THREADING FILM - ELMO FP-C

If the sprocket hole is next to the middle of the image, it's super 8mm. If the sprocket hole is between images, it's 8mm. If your green lever is stuck in the forward position, that's because the film is not threaded. Once your film threads correctly, the green lever will spring back.

How do you change the lamp in a mod # 980Z keystone projector

There is a black and silver knob under the keystone label( right above the automatic label ) on the side of your projector. turn this knob counterclockwise to loosen the covering over the housing unit for the lamb. once the knob is loosened lift the housing unit off of the side of the projector. You wlll see the enclosure where the lamp fits into beneath it.
Make sure the power is off for your projector while doing so. Screw the lamb into the enclosure , then replace the covering and screw the black knob in clockwise until it tightens.

In projector menu you will find a setting called 'keystone correction'. Use horizontal and vertical keystone correction to correct the projected image.

I cant figure out how to work this movie projector i cant get the movie to load and play on the screen. I have hundreds of old movies to watch. the projector is a keystone k100

Old film projectors are sometimes challenging to operate.
I have an old Bell&Howell and have to stop and think whenever a friend asks me to transfer a film to DVD. (Fortunately not often anymore.)

I just Googled keystone k100 and got several sites including several videos on Youtube.

I'm sure you'll find something in your flavour.

Good luck! Have fun.

My school overhead projector projects a crooked view onto the screen, even though the projector is flat on the cart and horizontal to the edge of the screen. I've had this happen with several projectors. ...

hello, since i don't know what type of projector you have, going by some of epsons projectors, you may want to try the keystone correction, the symbol for keystone is a trapezoid, also some of the old ones had a adjuster knob on outside of machine to correct lens, most new ones should be electronicly thru wand or thru key pad on machine
