If you can get to the control panel as Ricky suggests, the Regional & Language Options icon is a small world globe. That may help.

Right click on the task bar. Move the mouse to the top menu item. (Toolbars)

When the submenu appears go to the 3rd selection down (Language Bar) and click it.

A couple of small icons should appear on the taskbar.

Click the small down arrow. Go to the second item from the bottom. (Settings...)

Click the drop down menu at the top and select English.

These instructions are for Windows XP only. If you have Vista, I can't help...sorry.

Go into the Control Panel and into Regional and Language Options.
Work your way through all the tabs/screens setting it to US / English.

You might have Language Bar running in the lower right of your screen. You can disable/uninstall this to prevent any future problems.

If you have problems reading what is on the screen, use another computer and go here for a translator.

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Hello, could yo please advise me how can i change the language for a particular web site. I need to change it into malayalam

This is what I do:

1.)First you go to Google

2.)Paste the website into the search bar and push enter.

3.)Than on the leftside of google under the bold category "The Web" click: "More search tools".

4.)Than click "Translated foreign pages".

5.)Once you're at the next page, you will select under "My Language:(I use English for what I want them to be [you would use Malay])". And then you add a language as what the page is originally suppose to be.

6.)And once you're set, click the search button again.

7.)The page should show all the searches in your chosen language and Google Translator will even translate the pages as you go into them to the best of it's ability.

Hope this helps!

I need to know how to change the language on my compaq laptop presario

Click Start
Click Control Panel
Click Classic View
Click Regional and Language Options

You can change the input-method, to use a different key-layout, e.g., German or Swedish.

But, if you want "everything" in a foreign language, you may need to reinstall Windows, and choose that language during the install.

My computer is set on a foreign language how do i get it back to english

Instructions for Windows Vista
  1. Click Start and then Control Panel
  2. In Control Panel, if you are in Classic View, click on Control Panel Home (top left corner)
  3. Open Clock, Language, and Region
  4. Click on Regional and Language Options.
  5. Click the Keyboards and Languages tab and then click Change keyboards.
  6. Under Installed services, click Add.
  7. In the Add Input Language dialog box, select the keyboard layout you would like to add from the list available and click OK.
  8. The keyboard layout you added will be included in the list. To set the new layout as your default, select it from the list. Click OK to save your changes
  9. You can switch between different input languages (= keyboard languages) by clicking on the Language Bar button or by pressing the Alt + Shift keys

Instructions for Windows XP
  1. Click Start and then Control Panel
  2. In Control Panel, if you are in Category View, click on Switch to Classic View (top left corner)

  2. In Control Panel, if you are in Category View, click on Switch to Classic View
  3. Open Regional and Language Options in Control Panel.
  4. Click on the Languages tab.
  5. Under Supplemental language support, select the check box beside the applicable language collection
  6. Click OK or Apply. You will prompted to insert the Windows CD-ROM or point to a network location where the files are located. After the files are installed, you must restart your computer.

Try to go to http://login.live.com/ and try the forgotten password option, and you'll have a new password in your mailbox, log in with that and change the password inside and she'll be able to log in to her account once again.

My 7 yr. old son, somehow, turned my screen black, with white print. It's very ******* the eyes. I've gone into easy access and nothing is checked off, but the black screen remains,,,,HELp!!!!!

I have a feeling he turned on high contrast mode (supposedly it's meant to make reading the screen easier for people who are disabled, I think it just hurts everyone's eyes). To change that, right click on your desktop and go to appearance and click on the top pulldown menu and select windows xp style. Hopefully that will fix it.
