No. That's the format it's going to be saved in. The only way to change it would be to use a conversion program.

I have casio exilim ex-z35. I was taking a video with it, but I hit my hand on a door and the battery cover opened, thus turning the camera off while it was recording. Is the video on my cameras card in...

When you are recording the file is being saved temporarily by default, when you stop recording, the file is saved.
If the bytes are o, the .avi file is unavailable.

Cant play downloaded video files on my windows xp laptop

Jenny stef t:
On page 77 of the user manual for your camera (click here for user manual), it states that the movie format is "MPEG-4/H.264, Audio: G.711 [Monaural]". The easiest way to play these types of movies on your Windows XP machine is to download and install QuickTime for Windows.
Download QuickTime for Windows (click here for download) and save it to your Windows Desktop.
Once downloaded, double-click on the downloaded file on your Desktop and follow the directions to install QuickTime on your Windows XP machine.

After you've installed and completed any reboots necessary, you should then be able to double-click on the video files from your camera and have them play automatically on QuickTime.

Thanks for using FixYa and please feel free to ask follow-up questions.

Video

First, you need to have an SD card installed; the 8025 will not record video to internal memory. Second, be aware that the 8025 will not record any sound to accompany the video.

Press the Home button to bring up the main menu. Select Movie Mode (movie camera icon). Press the shutter button to begin shooting. Press the shutter button to stop shooting and save the file.

If you need a manual, you can download one from the manufacturer's web site at http://vivitar.com

Video clips from my panasonic lumix zs5 are not compatable with windows movie maker. also I cannot email, or view in photo gallery. any suggestions?

Look for a program that will convert video files from .mov to .avi or another format. The Sony Vegas Movie studio to edit and save in a different format or google video converters.

I have 2 years of videos stored on my computer because i cant find a program to make dvds out of my home videos. what can i use? the file that the camera records in is so weird that nothing i have tried...

Hi,

All video files have certain file extensions, like My Movie.mp4 or .avi for example.
If you can find out what file type your camera saves the video files in and post the file extension back on here then maybe we will be able to help you get the correct encoding software to make DVD's.

Regards.

Accidental delete of pictures, how to recover

First of all, do not save any new file to camera's memory card.

Take out memory card, and connect it to computer using a card reader. You should see memory card shown as a drive letter (like H:) in Windows Explorer.
Download this photo recovery software
http://www.asoftech.com/apr/
Install and open the photo recovery software, select the memory card, and click 'Start' button.

NIK0N coolpix l3 movie transfer

Hi:
When you transfer all the files, the movies should be transferred as well.
Open Windows Explorer to the folder you saved the files to.
Notice the file names by using either details or list in the view.
Other operating systems may differ slightly.
The movie files should be with .mov extension.
The jpeg or picture files should be saved to .jpg extension.
Some cameras will save to a different extension if the highest resolution is used, such as .tiff or other.

How to rotate a video clip I took vertically??

Vista
Start - Programs - Windows Movie Maker
Click Import Media - select the video clip you want to rotate from your files and point and click on it to highlight it - then click the import button lower right corner of screen.
When the file name appears - drag the clip to the video line at the bottom of the screen - point at file name and hold down right mouse button while you move the mouse to point at the video timeline then let go of the right button to drop the video into the timeline.
Point and RIGHT click on the clip you just added to the timeline
Click Effects
Scroll down to Rotate 90 and click to highlight it (you could also flip the video with 180 or 270)
Click the ADD button
Then click OK
The video will rotate.
Be sure to publish and save the new video with a name you can find...
File - Publish Movie - to computer will save it as a file on your PC - to DVD will start another program to create a DVD...

Have Fun
