Question about Legacy DOUBLE DIN CAR RADIO CD CDR CASETTE DECK MP3 PLAYER RB-LCDCS93MP

1 Answer

Portable CD radio players (2)

I have "knocked" two cd players and as a result neither will play cd's. Nothing happens on pressing play. Disc just spins on other. One slid off the set of weights it was resting on (not a bright idea I know)about a foot high. Second, bumped into door frame when walking through house. Is it repairable. One so cheap just replaced but first quite expensive and cassette player etc fine.

It wont play dvds!!! Help!!! Panasonic SC-HT520

You can try a CD/DVD Cleaner Disk ($3-$5). Some sell for $15, don't know if you'll get better results. If it doesn't work, then you have a laser alignment issue that needs calibrating. The labor is likely to cost more than a new DVD player.

Does it make this noise only while playing a disc? or is it when it opens and closes.

If it happens while playing a disc, it could be the spindle motor or something rubbing on the disc while it is spinning. Since nothing is supposed to be rubbing on the disc, it would need to be taken apart and looked at while it is spinning to see what that is.

Let me know if I can help you any more,

Good luck,

In the lid should be a mgnetic plate that holds the disc to the motor spindle (much like slight pressure would). Inspect it to make sure it's free moving and seating all the way when the lid is closed. I had one unit where the spindle on the motor shaft had slid down slightly causing the magnetic plate to not seat down all the way. Also, if the magnetic plate is removable, try placing it on the disc with the lid open and bypassed and see what happens.

Hope that helps...
