I assume the bearing is connected to a belt drive. if so its more important to get the tension on the belt first , to prevent unesssecary wear on bearings, and i believe it would be the same tension that you would have on the alternator belt of a car.

This doesnt really help because the drum now knocks with the new bearings and if you tighten it a bit the rubber seal (protecting the bearings from the drum) - squeals like mad.

So if anybody do have the specs; it would be very helpful.

SOURCE: whirlpool duet washer sport ht - error codes

FYI: The pump cleanout is located on the front of the machine, bottom right corner. There are only three screws holding the bottom cover on. It is easy to get to if you prop it up a few inches off the ground. Just thought this would be helpful as I just did this as of 5 min ago. Should take 10 min. or less.

An F1 is almost always a defective main control board. Could try unplugging the unit for a few minutes and see if it will reset. The part # for the board is W10110072. SOURCE: Whirlpool Duet Sport not running it makes clicks and it grinds

A common problem with noises from washing machines has been the under wire that may come out of small clothes. In the washer they can get stuck in one of the inner basket holes and make a scrapping noise, they can actually make there way into the pump and jam the pump, or make a terrible noise when the pump is running. Grab a flash light and have a peek inside the washer for this. Front load washers seem very common to this happen! If the tiny cloth is showing signs of fraying, may be best not to wash it in the washing machine, replace the cloth.=======
It's noisy Most noises from a washing machine occur during the spin cycle. If you hear loud thumping during the spin, the load of clothes may have become unbalanced. Stop the washer and redistribute the clothes, then re-start it. Repeat these steps if necessary.

It looks like the transit bolts are still in there at the back and if you take them out it should be more quiet.

How do you remove a rear hub on a 04 kia sedona?

Call Kia with your VIN to make sure yours wasn't affected by the recall. You may be able to have that rear bearing replaced for free at Kia.

HUBCAP & OUTER BEARING REPLACEMENT PROCEDURE: 1. Remove the two (2) cross-tip locating screws on the brake drum.

2. Remove the brake drum.

3. Remove cotter pin and cover set.

4. Remove nut, claw washer, outer bearing and hub assembly.

5. Inspect inner bearing area in both hubs for any sign of moisture, corrosion, grease discoloration or contamination. If "yes" discard entire hub and replace with new assembly. If "no" proceed with outer bearing replacement below: 6. Carefully remove the outer bearing race from the hub. If the hub assembly is damaged then replace the hub assembly as a complete unit. (If inner seal is damaged while removing the outer race replace with new seal.)

7. Clean all contaminated grease from outer bearing cavity of the hub.

8. Install a new outer race into the hub using an appropriate race installation tool.

9. Apply grease MS511-33 WBG2 or equivalent to the hub assembly and the new bearing(s) especially to the shaded areas.

10. Install hub assembly, new pre-greased outer bearing and new claw washer on spindle. (Or alternatively, install entire new hub assembly, as supplied). Ensure bearings are properly seated then tighten hub/spindle nut, torque nut to 20-25 lb-ft (27-33 Nm.) Verify hub spins freely without signs of binding or excessive play.

11. Install new cover set and cotter pin; never reuse the old cotter pin.

12. Install new hub cap with Loctite # 5910(TM) or equivalent sealant to prevent moisture intrusion.

13. Install the rear brake drum using tapered locating screws.

14. Install rear wheels and torque lug nuts to proper specification. (65-79 lb-ft) (88-108 Nm, 9-11 kgm)

15. Lower vehicle.

Whirlpool duet ht will not agitate or spin

Front load washers don't "agitate". Did you mean it doesn't tumble during the wash cycle? I need more information. Complete model # and a more detailed description of the issue.

Whirlpool Duet Sport Model WFW8300SW0 basket won't

The following list of codes indicates an electronics communication problem with the washer: - Duet HT washer - F01, F03, F06, F11, F23, F24, F27, F28, F29, F30, F31, F32, F35, F42, F61, F62, F63, F64, F65, F70, F71, and F99

If Pause/Cancel does not work:
  1. Unplug washer or disconnect power for one minute.
  2. Plug in washer or reconnect power.
  3. Re-select the cycle and press Start.
NOTE: If the error remains on the display, call for service.

I would first replace the door latch/lock assembly, a number of users have and it fixed the F-11 error code completely. Its the cheapest part for this problem.

Hope helps.

Duet Sport HT WFW8400TE Washer: Whirlpool Duet Sport HT front loader is stopping b...

First check your washer plug to see if the connections are tightly screwed. Next check your filter if you haven't for long.

Remove the 3 screws at the bottom of the front panel under the washer door. Your filter door will be light brown. If you find a hose there it is to drain out excess water (water that could not be drained by your pump) After you hv drained unscrew the cap and remove all the junk inside. Have a large plastic bag to catch junk and water. Refit carefully after cleaning out. If not solved, something shd be blocking your pump, check this out

Whirlpool Sport Duet: Purchased back in August 2006 the Spin Dry Cycle used to be very quiet - In the last month the cycle "sound effects" resemble the warm up of a commercial jet...

To test for bearing failure, open the door, pull back the door seal then grab the plastic outer tub with one hand and the inner basket with the other hand. If you can lift on the basket and wiggle up and down, the tub bearing is bad.

The tub bearing is contained in the rear half of the outer tub. To replace the rear half of the outer tub requires total disassembly of the machine. The top, console, door seal, front panel, rear panel drain hose, pressure hose etc. all have to be removed. Then..the entire outer tub has to be removed and split apart. The basket will need to be removed and the rear half of the tub replaced,,,It is a very time consuming job, if you are mechanically inclined, you can do it, if not, consider a professional. Cost to repair by a professional will run around $450.00. Outer tub cost is around $300.00.

If you need further assistance, let me know
