Question about IBM NetVista PC Desktop
I have several ibm motherboards which are from NETVISTA 8305 desktop computers. motherboard p/n is 88P8475. I have some with the POV3 (promise of value, p/n 25P5079) board and some with out it. All the boards work fine. If I remove the POV brd from the boards that have them, then the motherboard does not boot. I need to make these boards boot without the POV just like the other boards. The POV is some kind of security board. Also, the POV boards are not interchangeable, they only work in the motherboard they are programmed on. Any knowledge on this? The boards look identical except for a j-lead ic soldered to boards. This ic either has a 2003 sticker on it, or a 2004.
