disconnect the power and usb cable from back of the printer then Press and hold down the power button for 30 sec..reconnect all cables and see if you get the same message.if you stiil get the message you need to get the printer replaced if its under warranty or serviced if out of warranty as it could be an issue with the paper sensor.

Hi, I've got an HP Photosmart D7160. It continually says "Paper Jam". Actually the error screen says something like "please remove paper jam and then press OK", but there is no paper...

This error message is displayed by the printer when paper is jammed in one or more locations. In such a case, users are recommended to remove the jammed paper from the specified location. The entire paper path must be checked for any pieces of paper. To stop the message, open and close the top most cover of the printer. Lastly, verify the flags and the sensors. If the problem persists, the cause of the error message could be a broken sensor or sensor lever.get more help and information for hp printer support hope this helps you.

Paper is inserted properly but error message keeps saying "Load paper face down in Main tray"

i think the printer has 2 trays, one down and the other one on top from where you insert the paper. load the paper there as well. if there is only one tray then check the paper sensor in the bottom, if the paper end sensor comes out of position then it will not detect the paper.

Hi, I am having a problem getting my printer (HP Photosmart 2570 All-in-one) to recognise a paper size. I am in the process of manufacturing Xmas cards and the card size I wish to use is 7" x...

  1. Go to File, Page Setup in the application
  2. In Page Setup select "edit custom paper size " in the Paper size menu.
  3. Select the default paper size in the dropdown menu.
  4. Click Quit and then OK .
For whatever reason the paper size won't show until you exit the document and reopen it. this also has to be done on a document by document basis. But it should work.
