When I changed from IBM to a Dell computer, my version 6 Broderbund Print Shop Deluxe failed to work. Something like 5 not working. I reported this to you some time ago and you sent me an e-mail entitled General Computer Advice, Running Programs in Windows XP Using Compatibility Mode. I have used the instructions several time in trying to make my Print Shop software to work, but nothing happens. Do you have other options or do I need to buy a new print shop program?

Spindle usually refers to the spinning axis of the carbon disks or the platters. The disks are likely not spinning and a drive replacement is required.

Why everytime i try to print something on my printer it would keep saying "Interactive services dialog detection"?


I'm not sure what windows version you are using, but try this...
1. Open Control Panel
2. Double click 'Administrative Services'
3. Double-click "Services"
4. Right click - 'Interactive Services' from list in Window
5. Select 'Stop'
6. Right click - select Properties
7. In 'Startup type' select 'Disable'
8. Click "OK"

Restart your windows just to make sure it's work.

I use Quickbooks Ver. 7.4 which prints to a Dell 1320C colour laser. For all reports, the printing is fine, but when I print the BAS statement I just get 2 blank pages. I should mention that the BAS...


Update your printer drivers, and quickbooks to the latest versions. A quick round about solution is to install a pdf printer (bullzip pdf or pdf forge) and print the report to that printer to create a pdf. Then print the pdf with your 1320c printer.

8) Increase the size of Virtual Memory, Initial: 1440; Maximum: 2880

9) if problem persists try reinstalling os..

Need help transfering data from IBM Aptiva to Dell computer


Sounds like the older computer is a 98 machine - Data Traveler does not have 98 drivers due to its size. Your best bet is to find a smaller flash drive that is 98 compatible - or depending on the size of the data you could e-mail it to yourself.

IBM thin desktop unit locks up ramdomly


this sounds like the memory controller on the motherboard has gone out.
replacing the motherboard would solve the problem.

I HAVE A DELL COMPUTER, AND A LYNKSYS MODEM AND ROUTER. I HAVE TRYED SEVERAL TIMES TO GET THE ROUTER TO WORK SO I CAN USE MY IBM T40 LAPTOP, WIRELESSLY. EACH TIME MY INTERNET ACCESS ON THE DELL IS TURNED...


sounds to me like u r running the dell in the usb, and it has to be on for the ibm to work, or you have a dual ip addressing problem, which is a negative to the ibm when the dell is off.

My son has a IBM think pad as well, and when he uses the Ibm with his linksys wireless router he has the same problem, or did until I addressed the dual ip address issue, which I had to change the Ip address on our netgear, and left his as was and changed the one from My Dell inspiron 8600, I suggest you go to the linksys web site and follow the re install of new drivers for your router and if possible upgrade. they have available w wireless handing software program available to linksys customers as a trial you can download called NETMAGIC which also works quite well, and your able to monitor your network and it usually works well, I've used it until I upgraded to my netgear wireless G router.
