Question about Jenn-Air JES8850 Electric Kitchen Range
We were boiling water and it overflowed. We began receiving an FC alarm which states to unplug and call a tech. Can you help? Lone Wolf
Not sure, but I would be interested in parts if you have any extra. I need a double burner for mine. I have a burner for one side and a grill and steamer for the other. I do not use the steamer but would love additional burners.

replace the entire range: Jennair does not know how to design, make, or program electronics. It makes steel boxes that provide heat but electronics - that's not within their ability. Buy a Kenmore or a GE and your beeping problem will go away.

Start by looking at your owners manual which can be downloaded here if you lost yours:
On page 23 Also called page (1-3) you will see a test procedure, do that first then check the fault code page. Page 26 will detail what the fault codes mean.
F- means there is a fault between the communication boards (replace display board), while FC says the same thing but the result is the different and says replace the PRB. What this tells me is that the problem isnt the board or prb, but that moisture in the area is causing a short, and should be cleaned out with alcohol. If the error code were constant, the board would be bad. In your case, it changes after replug, so I suspect that a thorough clean of the control board area will be all thats needed.
