SOURCE: Interior Range Window cracked - How to Replace

It is simple enough not to need a manual.
1- open the door, then pull outwards. The door mounts slide right out.
2- lay flat on a towel on the floor. Remove screws on the inside of the door.
3- remove each piece and layer of the door and glass panels. Set them aside in order so you know how it goes back together
4- replace broken inner glass panel
5- put each piece back together, install screws
6- slide door (mounts) back into their homes on the front of the range

It is surprisingly simple. All you need is a #2 Phillips screwdriver and a bit of patience.

Tip: make sure to clean each glass panel while you have the door apart. Use a razor blade for those stubborn burnt on stains.

SOURCE: They just installed a kitchenaid 36 inch KDRP467K

Hello- 'They' should have re-checked bus block connections for cord. Element won't work with one leg. If connections look good, check element connections and then power connection for element at board. If it still doesn't work, check resistance of element. Should be around 13ohms. This is the troubleshoot sequence for solution to your problem, but should be under warranty for first year. A piece of advice- avoid the 'self-clean' function. This feature is called 'self-destruct' by techs. Please acknowledge this post if helpful. Have more info if needed. Thanks-  Ed

SOURCE: Stainless Steel Range Tops.

The only way to clean it is with steel wool. I use 2 different grades, but finish with a fine grit-0000. You still can't get it completely clean, no matter what you do. Forget it looking new. It's not real stainless steel if it's model FEF455BBA. I won't EVER buy this sort of top again either. I have had numerous problems with it, including since it conducts heat and doesn't shield wiring from the heat generated by the eyes, it is constantly melting out the plug-in elements for the eyes. I am surprised it hasn't been recalled. I am surprised more people haven't had fires!

The trim plate or trim piece is held by part number 38 the slider. The trim plate is just fitted from one side, the other side is just stuck hard, you can say like welded. But its easy to remove, just loosen it from one side and give bit **** from other side and it will be loose. In the inner side of trim plate there are few clips that held it tight. But this clips are very delicate,if this clips are not there, then also trim will fit properly.--------- You will just have to slide the trim plate from part number 39 and it will be loose. See fig for slider, part number 39:--- helpmech_97.jpg see fig for trim plate:-- helpmech_98.jpg -------------- The switch is just held by screws and jumper wire, plug in connectors. This are just pull out connecting wires. And easy to re fit.----------- Check out keep updated.Thanks/.Helpmech.
