Question about Maytag Washing Machines
We just replaced the belt. Is there supposed to be a pulley that I can move back and forth?
To stop the squeaking noise you need to re balance the washer. Get a level and set it on the center of the washer and the use the adjustable screws on the bottom of the washer to balance the washer exactly. This should re balance and stop the sound. Usually any belt that you can replace on a washer cannot be tightened using a pulley that I am aware of. Good Luck!
