Regarding the superfreeze function. The manual says the feature switches off after 2 and a half days yet I noticed on my fridge it is still working even after this timeframe. Could the manual be wrong or have I misinterpreted it?
Could it mean after continuous freezing it shuts off after 2 and half days but the feature is always on?

Before buying anything, back up your S3 data using Samsung Kies. Then do a factory reset.. followed by a data restore..
firmware updates can cause problems until the handset is reset, as parts of the previous firmware are still in use..
You should notice an improvement after this... mine went from half a day, to almost 2 days usage, just by doing this after a firmware update.
HD7 is powered by a qualcomm SoiC Snapdragon chipset. It's basically a large chip containing the cpu/video processing and input output functions. The same chip is used in the HD2 and has been known to cause some problems. I'll make an assumption and ask you to try something. Please find some hd movies and place them on the phone memory, then try continuously running them. Before starting this test, measure the room temperature. If you have .. let's say 25 degrees celsius (or equivalent fahrenheit) make a note, writing down the room temperature at witch you started the experiment. Run the movies continuously untill the phone either freezes or restarts. When the phone does that, write down the time elapsed since you started and stop using the phone for about half hour. Next place the phone in a transparent bag, try to seal it and put it in the fridge (not freezer) for half hour. Open the freezer, and run the same movies again WHILE keeping the phone cool in the fridge. Check to see if you notice any improvements in the time elapsed until a restart. If you do, please reply here and i'll explain what actually happens with the phone and what is the real problem with it (it could get a little..technical).
PS you can use any cpu demanding app instead of movies, let's say 3d games, navigation apps etc.

Open door, unscrew hinge, Pull door top door off first, then remove middle hinge, then second door, then third hinge. ( good to take pic before so you know what direction the hinges are facing. When putting on, put bottom hinge on first, then door (tape it close and in place) then second hinge, the top door (tape in place, THen finally the top hinge. Once hinges are in place, remove tape.
try this first :
turn your thermostat down first until the fridge stops .
turn the thermostat back up only a quater of the way and wait to see if the fridge turns on and off as usual .
if it does , the thermostat is ok .
if it does not , i believe the thermostat is dead .
in regards to the ice in the fridge part , you maybe have the fridge turned to far up but let me know how you go .

I think you should find that 5 would be the colder setting but this is not the case on some frost free models. But you willbe able to tell straight away if you move the thermostat to number 5 it will run for ages before it switches off but not so on number 1!
it seems that your network uses a lot of your battery specially when making a call, as you've noticed, mobile phone companies indicates in their manual/brochure that battery life is dependent on the network connection. try contacting your service provider regarding this issue.
