Question about Sony Ericsson P1i
Have a p1 for a year now, works more or less fine, except for the back up process. when connected to the computer the first few back-ups worked ok, since a few months now the phone stops the process, leaving the thing uncompleted.
had the same issue with my m600i earlier, in fact that was the reason to get the p1, seems time to get rid of it, or any solution?
I had the same problem until I discovered that if I skiped the third party applications in my back up it went just fine.

From the details of your symptom you're indicating a possible intermittent loose connection between the user interface (touch panel) and the machine control board or the voltage supply to machine control board at P1 connector. Disconnect the power cord from the power source.
If the wires are good then you will need to replace the control board on your unit.
Here is a link to the part.
