Unplug the set, remove all other audio/video components, go open front door, and roll it out to the curb.

Seriously, u8nless you have some background in electronic's repair and troubleshooting you have almost no chance for fixing this! The only easy way is to reboot the processor by unplugging for several minutes. If it doesn't turn back on after doing this, you will need to call a repair tech who has experience with Mitsu sets. Usually the retailer where you bought the set will have one, if they sell extended warranty's. Then you are looking at hundreds and hundreds of dollars. Then I advise the above suggestion.

With the power turned OFF, press the menu and input buttons and hold for 5-6 seconds. Release and the power led light will blink a error code. The only codes I know for sure are 1 then 2 blinks means there is no error, and you need to call a service tech. A 2 followed by another 2, is a IC convergence error. I know this doesn't help you much, but will save you hours upon hours of searching the net for answers.

I have a Mitsubishi WS-55807 and the colors started to separate - you can reset it by turning if off and on again and it goes away but in time returns, starts getting blury then the colors split up - just...

In your On Screen Display menu (OSD), you should have a place that says "convergence". As a sub heading to this it will say "Auto-Convergence". This is where you want to be! Hit OK under AUTO, and watch the magic happen! If your set happens NOT to have AUTO, you'll have to do it manually. You're going to make the lines all match up doing one color at a time until all three colors are done! It's not hard at all. It may take a little patience at first, but just think of all the money your saving by not having a TV tech come out to your house and you'll be fine!

High Definition--WS-55807

IF the MITS has 3 component inputs blue red yellow RCA jacks on the back then yes at 480 or 720p, you'll need to attach 2 audio cables for sound. If it has a HDMI input then absolutely.

Won't come on

The power board has failed and will need to be repaired or replaced. you can remove this board and, replace individual parts and save a lot of money. You will be inspecting for swollen capacitors and resistors. also, look for discolorations on the board itself.

Looses video

There are so many thing that can cause this to happen. If you answer some questions we can narrow it down some. 1) when the picture goes black if you hit the menu button on the mitsubishi remote or on the front of the tv itself does the menu show up? 2) After it goes dark how do you get it back? do you turn it off and let it sit for awhile or can you turn it off and then right back on to get a picture? 3) what is the model number? this can be found on the back of the set. If you can answer these questions we can go forward.

Thanks!

Turn on tv and after a minute it turns itself off

Check fuses F9A04 and F9A05 (5A micro fuse)on the board in the middle. If one or both are open than you need to change both the convergence IC's (STK392-570)along with the fuses.
