It sounds like your radio has had its hospitality mode activated. The hospitality mode is a mode which is often used by hotels or similar establishments, who wish to set a maximum volume limit on the radio. To remove this volume limiter follow the steps below. Turn the unit on
Turn the volume down to minimum, 00, volume
Press and hold power for 10 seconds until volume numbers flash
Turn the volume back up to 50 (max volume)
Press power again to verify new max volume position
depending on which phone you have you might have to assign a ringtone ? click on the phone icon, click on menu button, select ring tone ( you can have a different ringtone for each person if you want ) also when volume is tuned up you will notice on some phones theres a cog icon at the end of the slider ? click on that as other volume options will show ( they could be turned down ) sometimes our volume will stay down if you have had your phone on silent and switched back...or if we plug head phones in the volume turns down automatically.try scroll silent on /off or plug head phones in and out
Probably the media player has something faulty..If it's new, send it back and claim another.
If not , remember how did this start..All of a sudden or did you accidentally drop it?
I am trying to work out which has got the high volume.
If it is the Pioneer then it could be the volume control chip that is faulty. These days volume is no longer determined by a control that adjusts the signal level. The signal is passed to a chip and the volume control setting information is also passed to the same chip. If the chip goes faulty then the volume will sometimes go to max, regardless of the volume control setting. This can also apply to the TV sound as well.
If the sound level is high on other functions of the receiver, such as the radio, then it is certain to be the sound volume control IC.
1) retight the springs contacts batteries with pliers for a better contacts 2) open the r.control and clean the keypads very well from dirty, oxide, and bad contacts, with contacts cleaner. 3) otherwise you must go to the repair shop TV. God bless you
Hi, my name is John. Welcome to FixYa. Turn your volume up to MAX, then turn your RF GAIN to MAX. If same, plug in a external speaker in back of radio into the external speaker jack. see what happens. If loud, re-place the speaker in the radio. Let me know how it goes, glad to help you and thanks for choosing FixYa....John
To change the volume there are 2 sliders not just 1. It s the master volume (the one u are moving) and the Wave Volume or "Application" as Vista likes to call it..
Right Click your volume icon > Open Volume Mixer > Turn the other Slider (aplications) to max. That should do it..
It went down because some programs (most actually) internally use the Application volume, so when u switch the volume inside the program THAT slider moves.. not the master one. And it doesn t always come back to the point where it was after u leave the game/program..
Check the grill in front of the speaker area for debris or plugged holes. Check the transmitting radio for debris blocking the mic hole. When turning volume up on the radio, do not max out the volume knob, back it off slightly for best sound. If these do not help, your radio is probably malfunctioning and needs replaced.
Talk about silly. This is the 3rd time typing the solution. (The Terms of Use link wiped it out too.) I had same problem by accidentally setting mute from bluetooth headset. If you have same situation, just turn volume up or down on headset. (Turning volume up or down on cellphone did not help me.) Good Luck, BeenThere
Hi Deebo
