Alarm - check cassette info code 011 - what is

The tab on the base of the paper cassette is broken off.

How to cheat it:

Remove the paper cassette
remove the tray in the back
remove the toner cartridge
set the machine upright

Wad up a small piece of electrical tape and shove it into the small black u-shaped sensor on the left side bottom.

it should work OK after this.

I got Panafax UF-595 and this fax keeps saying "check cassette info code=011" and does nothing else. What am I supposed to do to make it work?

There is a small plastic tab broken off of the front of the paper cassette.

Remove the paper cassette
remove the rear brown tray
remove the toner
set the machine on it's back side
wad up a small piece of electrical tape

stick the tape in the black U-shaped photo sensor at the bottom left corner of the machine to cheat it.

Error 011

Where is the broken left tab. Sometimes on that cassette the tab breaks that tells the unit that the paper cassette is installed. If this is the case then the tray has to be replaced.

First the battery.

Along the top edge of the operation panel you will see a blue tab. just to the left of that tab you will see another beige tab of the same size, this is the battery holder.

Open the toner door and open the feeder ...pull upwards 1 inch until it stops.

Pull the beige tab out...not the blue one.

Take the battery to radio shack or CVS Pharmacy and match it up....CR-2032.

Next step:
press the MONITOR key and listen for a dial tone.
plug a regular phone into the phone jack to check for a dial-tone.

If all else fails.

Press FUNCTION
7
monitor key slowly 4 times
*
6
scroll down to SHIPMENT SET
press set
2
set
wait for the machine to initialize and reboot itself.

Panafax uf-790 - info code = 011

Check cassette refers to the paper cassette. If there is no paper or the cassette is not seated correctly, then you will get that error. If you tried those, then check the left rear of the cassette for a tab. If that tab is broken off you will get this error and you need a new paper cassette. Good luck.

Machine will not reset after toner replacement

Info code 45 really means Toner cartridge is not installed.Info code 41 is out of toner & code 43 is toner getting low. There are three connection points inside of the fax machine that tell the machine that a cartridge is installed. Open the cartridge door & remove the cartridge. Verify that the metal tabs on the right hand side above the drive gear stick out far enough to make contact with the cartridge. There should also be two wires that are located on the left hand side that also make contact with the cartridge. Try putting your used/empty cartridge in & see if your info code changes to a 41 or 43.If not, you may have a broken connection. I have found that some compatible cartridges for the panafaxes are missing metal tabs that make contact with the connectors. Compare a cartridge that worked to the one that doesn't to see if it's missing metal tabs. This is not an issue if you are using OEM. Good luck! I can be reached by email if you have any questions. bspier@carlsonsupplies.com
