Print is jumpy on x1150 even after aligning

It could be that the cartridges are not seated properly in the cartridge carrier. Open the printer cover and re-seat the cartridges and make sure it is properly secured in its place. The cover latch should snap to indicate that the cartridges are locked in its place. Try to do another alignment test page again.
Print a document to verify that the problem is fixed.

Printer prints words on top of each other

Check to make sure that there is nothing preventing the page from being pulled into the printer. Overlapping words is often caused by the paper feed not moving quickly enough, subsequently causing words to overlap and not span the entire page.
If that doesn't work, let me know and we'll troubleshoot further.

The printed pages with black is light and spotty.

Hello,
Try to run the "Clean Print Heads" utility. Sometimes it is called something else, but whenever your print quality degrades, this is a good program to run. If that doesn't work, then I would suggest replacing the print cartridge. Sometimes they go bad if they have not been used for a long time. Hope this helps!
