well try putting in a music cd ORIGINAL as the tracks are wider and easier for the laser to read.. if it reads it your laser is going bad or may need to be cleaned, if it doesnt read that either your laser may have failed all the way and it needs to be refurbished or repaired.
First thing I would do is clean the laser lens. You can purchase a CD/DVD laser lens cleaning disc at most big box retailers, or online very inexpensively. They often come bundled with a disc cleaner too, so you can keep your discs error free. 9 times out of 10 that is the problem, if it has been working up until now. You may also want to look at your hardware configuration in the control panel, under system > hardware > device manager, and make sure there are no hardware or driver issues with that drive.
looks like you burnt the fuseable link from the alternator . you need to check the voltage at the back of the alternator on the red heavy wire with the battery fully charged and key off you should have battery volts at this terminal and if there is voltage you need to put a load on that wire with a 12 volt light bulb. . the bottom line is your charging system isnt working . so we need to find where it has lost its connection. let me know if this doesnt work and ill send a wiring diagram with directions.
