Sure the plug is getting power from wall outlet? If power is there you might want to check out the power supply board first for issues.

Bose subwoofer has no power when pluged in

Make sure your power outlet and your audio source are ok. If they are then the subwoofer's power supply is probably dead.

I have 3 maxtor 3200 storage units. A few days ago my computer would not start up so after unpluging the 3200 and everything else I got the computer to work again. Plugging in the mouse, keyboard, zip drive...

could be a software issue could be that the when you unpluged them you didnt unmount the drives from the system and now windows is not finding them for this reason the best way to "try" to fix this issue is to plug them in one at a time go into device manager and uninstall them from the computer then turn the computer off unplug the drive turn the computer back on without the unit pluged in turn the computer off again plug the unit in restart the computer this will work on 75% of the drives that can't be seen

Aptiva 2161 unpluged the harddrive to clean the case. pluged it back in.Now it won't boot.It shows a floppy disk an ^ and flopprdrive.Won't boot from a c/d.What to do /

It would appear that your motherboard does not see the hard drive. Keep in mind that it worked fine before you cleaned it and now it doesn't, that's not coincidence it's user error. Make sure that you have BOTH the data and power cable connected to the hard drive and that the data cable is also firmly seated in it's proper location on the motherboard.

You should take firt a voltimeter and test for 5 and 12 volts at power input to de HD,(pluged to the wall) as some times is the power with has been fried...if so test diodes first and transformers then (unpluged from the wall...) if not ok and you do not know how to fix the power source take it to an electronic shop and they will perform a standard repair as it is only a power source......
