NO INTERNET ACESS

Hi,
My laptop didnt enable the wifi with the fn+f8 key.
I even reset the cmos and nothing.
Then I went to toshiba drivers website and after installing the "thku" "toshiba hotkey utility" the fn+f8 start working and enable/disable the wifi. It now shows a popup windows when I press the fn+f8 key.

Before the wifi led was always off. Windows detected the wifi device but nothing on the wifi available list.
Now the led is always on, starts orange when I turn on the pc and blue when connected.

Look for a key on the keyboard which has a wireless picture on it,then press that key and the Fn (function) key at the same time when you're on the desktop

Go download and install the network drivers from Toshiba's site.
Get onlineand got to www.google.com In the google search box type: "ToshibaSupport" (without the quotes and put your manufacturer name before Support). Look for downloads and drivers. Enter your model number and operatingsystem when requested. Download and install the Network drivers.Maybe you don't have your wireless turned on. Look onboth sides and in front for the Wireless Switch and turn it on. Sometimes there might be a button at the top of the keyboard or along the sides to press that turns the wireless on.

Also once the wireless switch is turned on there are key strokes that can togglethe wireless on or off. Normally you would Press and Hold the FN functionkey located at the lower left of the keyboard, then hit the correct F1 thru F12key that toggles the wireless. The correct F1 thru F12 key to hit willhave the wireless signal icon )))) on it. Or it might have the icon of a towerwith the wireless signal icon )))). Normally the screen will displayWireless On or Wireless Off when you toggle the wireless.
If the wireless still is not on after the above two steps try this: Turn the laptop off, Remove the Power Cord, Remove the battery, Remove the cover that houses the wireless on the bottom of the laptop, then remove the two wires (antennas (normally a black and white caboe)) that are connected to the wireless card (be sure to remember which wire goes where. Then remove the wireless card from the slot. It might be secured by a screw. Leave the wifi card out for 30 seconds then put it all back together and reboot.

You can enable and disable Bluetooth by pressing Fn + F8 (Press and HOLD Fn key and while still holding the Fn key press F8 key). You might need to press it repeatedly until you see the Bluetooth is ON.

have you tried to press FN+F8 again to enable the wireless switch

and or making sure that you have slid the wireless slide switch over to the right hand side to enable it it should show you a picture of what looks like a small satallite dish

The F8 button is to get into safe mode not for wireless!!!!
There is either a button near the lid to switch it on or off.
Alternatively right click on the wireless icon at the lower left and switch on.

Do you have a wireless card?
If not you need to get one for it to work!!!
