Same problem. Email message will not load - after MINUTES of trying!

May be more common when the message has an attachment, but happens without attachments too.

Every 30 minutes or so it crashes Firefox while trying.

Every 2 or 3 hours I get a Windows message about being low in virtual memory - there is 768 MEG on this machine, plus a 500 MEG swap file!!

The address of the link you sent is http://uk.mg40.mail.yahoo.com/dc/blank.html?bn=1155.32&.intl=uk#
If you will notice I have underlined a small section above. This tells me that there is no information in the link for the computer to direct to. Check the link you are clicking on by right clicking, bookmarking, and then viewing the link to see where it is actually sending you.

If all else fails, contact yahoo from a different computer or copy and paste this link into your browser:

http://help.yahoo.com/l/uk/yahoo/helpcentral/

It is the HELP site for Yahoo! UK.

We're sorry, but there appears to be a problem loading the message.. . this message appears when I am trying to read my yahoo mail

This shouldn't happen all the time, but it will happen from time to time when the server at Yahoo is just busy fetching data for you. Closing your Yahoo email program and restarting will generally cure that problem.
If you are getting this message generally more than once per day, there is an issue with your email program communicating with the server at Yahoo and you should call or email Yahoo support if you can access your email. Since Yahoo doesn't store data locally on your Hard Drive, but on Yahoo servers, you must take up the issue with Yahoo support services.

Hope this helps.....

I am having problems setting up outlook 2007 for my yahoo.es address.what are the incoming and outgoing mail settings. when I try to do the auto set up it doesnt seem to recognise my network password for...

Here’s how you can read your Yahoo! Mail Plus email using Outlook 2007:
  1. From the Tools menu, select Account Settings.

Note: If you do not see Account Settings, place your cursor over the two arrows at the bottom of the list to display more choices.
  2. On the E-mail tab, click New. The Add New E-mail Account dialog box appears.
  3. Select the Manually configure server settings or additional server types checkbox. Click Next. The Choose E-mail Service screen appears.
  4. Select Internet E-mail, and click Next. The Internet E-Mail Settings screen appears.
  5. Complete the fields as follows:
    • Your Name: Type your name as you’d like it to appear when you send an email message.

E-Mail Address: Type your Yahoo! Mail Plus email address (for example, testing80@yahoo.com).

Account Type: Select POP3 from the pull-down menu.

      Incoming mail server: Type plus.pop.mail.yahoo.com.

Outgoing mail server (SMTP): Type smtp.mail.yahoo.com.
    • Select the Remember Password checkbox if you don't want Outlook to prompt you for your password each time you check your mail.
    • Do not select the Require logon using Secure Password Authentication (SPA) checkbox.
  6. Click More Settings. The Internet E-mail Settings dialog box appears.
  7. Select the Outgoing Server tab:
    • Select the My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication checkbox.
    • Make sure that Use same settings as my incoming mail server is selected.
  8. Click the Advanced tab:
    • For Incoming Server (POP3), select the This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL) checkbox. The number in the Incoming Server (POP3) field automatically changes from 110 to 995. If it doesn’t, type 995.
    • In the Outgoing Server (SMTP) field, type 465. Under Outgoing Server (SMTP), select the This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL) checkbox.
    • Next to Use the following type of encrypted connection, select SSL from the pull-down menu.
    • If want to keep a copy of your email messages on the Yahoo! Mail server, select the Leave a copy of messages on the server checkbox. If you want to delete your messages from the Yahoo! Mail server after viewing them in Outlook, leave the box unchecked.
    • If you want to save your Yahoo! Mail messages on both the Yahoo! Mail server and on your computer, select the Leave a copy of messages on the server checkbox. If you want your messages to be deleted from the Yahoo! server after Outlook has downloaded them onto your computer, leave the box unchecked.

Note: After your messages are deleted from the server, we cannot retrieve them.
  9. Click OK to close the Internet E-mail Settings dialog box.
  10. Click Next to continue. The Congratulations screen appears.
  11. Click Finish to close the Add New E-mail Account dialog box.
  12. Click Close to close the Account Settings dialog box.

Troubleshooting tips
If you still can’t send Yahoo! Mail from Outlook 2007, you might be accessing the Internet through an ISP that is blocking the SMTP port. If this is the case, try using port 587 when sending email via Yahoo!’s SMTP server. To make this change:
  1. From the Tools menu, select Account Settings. The Account Settings dialog box appears.
  2. Double-click your Yahoo! Mail Plus account. The Change E-mail Account dialog box appears.
  3. Click More Settings. The Internet E-mail Settings dialog box appears.
  4. Click the Advanced tab.
  5. In the Outgoing Server (SMTP) box, type 587.
  6. Click OK to close the Internet E-mail Settings dialog box.
  7. Click Next to continue. The Congratulations screen appears.
  8. Click Finish to close the Change E-mail Account dialog box.
  9. Click Close to close the Account Settings dialog box.

Your internet connection is most likely too slow for the new Yahoo mail version. Try reverting back to the Yahoo mail classic as that requires less bandwidth, or see about getting a faster internet connection.

Want to delete my yahoo mail over 9000 quickly

1) Go to your inbox

2) Just above the list of messages is the word "Inbox" in fairly large letters. Right underneath, there is a link that says "View: All Messages." Click on this link. A dropdown will appear: click "All Messages" in the dropdown.

3) Be patient - all 9,000 messages will load onto this single page. Expect this to take a while. Go enjoy a cup of coffee.

4) When all the messages have loaded, scroll to the bottom and click the link that says "check all." Then click the "Delete" button.

It might take a few minutes to delete everything - again, be patient.

Yahoo mail login errors

It is pssible to get to your mail by changing your account to Yahoo Classic. To do this you will need to go to Yahoo's home page and click on the 'Mail' link. When the "Error" 1st message comes up click OK. When the 2nd messgae appears move the "Error" message over the "having trouble loggin on" message located in the top right of the of the screen. Locate the OK button over this message. Very quickly, and I mean rapid, click the OK button twice. You may need to do this several times to time it right - it took me three times, When Yahoo's solutions appear just click in the Classic option. I am now back in touch witth the world and although it hasn't resolved Yahoo's problem yoou will, at long last be in touch. I'm not claiming to be a problem solver, I found this in Yahoo's answers.

Hope this resolves your problem. Good Luck
