Question about Fuji FinePix S5000 Digital Camera
Hello and Happy New Year to all. I have a problem with my S5000. Turned it on last week, lens comes out as it should BUT no image on either viewfinder or LCD and camera shuts down after about a minute. I have been told that the chip is none too healthy and needs replacing (which would cost about the same as buying a replacement camera). If I cannot repair the camera myself I shall consider upgrading to a better model though I will have to save for a while which means that I miss out on the 'spring shots' of Bluebells and Daffodils. Please can anyone point me in the right direction for faultfinding and diagnosis. Also where couls I buy replacement chips etc..
CCD sensor is faulty and should be replaced by Fuji agent free of charge because properly manufactured CCD sensor should last 15 years at least. Otherwise pay for labor to have new CCD block put in ( 1 hour ) and insist on the agent covering the cost of the part.
