I have an iphone 2g that is frozen on the apple logo during an unlock...can't seem to restore it or anything as itunes doesn't recognize it

Try press and hold power button till it turns off and then turn on while holding home and power for 10 seconds and then release power button only and hold home still for 30 seconds. It should put phone in DFU recovery mode and then iTunes should see it. Once it does, re-install latest OS.

Bottom buttons dont work .but top screen works as normal .but you need the bottom screen to run the top

Do you have a 2g or 3g iPhone? This is a usual problem if you have tried to unlock it or wrong software update. 80% of the time it is resolved by reflashing and unlocking again. If not then your phone needs to be inspected and tried with new Digitzer to make sure what is at fault. To Reflash, connect your phone to iTunes. Then hold Select button and power buttons together for 10 seconds. When the screen goes off, release the power and continue to hold the Select button untill Itunes give you a message that your phone has been found on Recovery mode. Then follow directions.

Iphone 2g only apple icon on the screen

Ok, what you need to do is a full restore and unlock again. First you need to get it in Recovery Mode so the computer can read it. Press power and home buttons while connected VIA USB till you get the message in the Itunes that you need to restore, then restore and unlock.
If you dont know how to unlock www.iclarified.com, they have really good tutorials step by step.

Iphone 2g wont sync

Reset and Restore iPhone to Original Default Factory Settings with Recovery Mode iPhone display freezing? iPhone doesn’t detect by or appear in iTunes? iPhone cannot sync with iTunes on PC or Mac? Cannot make or receive calls, send or receive text messages, or access email or the web? Or worse, iPhone simply won’t turn on and does not respond to tap or button press? If the problem still persists after you have reseted the iPhone, or tried various iPhone troubleshooting, it may be worthwhile to invoke recovery mode to restore iPhone to default factory settings, the original state as when you first received and unwrapped the phone.

Restoration of iPhone to original factory defaults will likely to fix all problem, with the downside that all data and information stored on your phone will be lost. Normally iTunes will make a backup automatically when you connect and sync the iPhone with the program, however, it’s still a good recommendation to copy out and backup everything that you may need on the phone before proceed to restore the iPhone.
To restore iPhone and reset the phone to default factory settings, follow these steps:
  1. Turn off iPhone - Hold down the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the red slider. Ignore this step if your iPhone is already off.
  2. Press and hold down the Home button for about 10 seconds until a yellow triangle with a text which says Please Connect to iTunes appears. iphone-recovery-mode.jpg
  3. Plug the iPhone into Mac or Windows PC. Release the button if you haven’t.
  4. Run and open iTunes if it’s not already opened yet.
  5. iTunes will prompt a message that says iTunes has detected an iPhone in recovery mode. Click OK.
  6. You will be taken to the iPhone pane. Then, click on Restore.
  7. Wait for the full restoration process to complete, and the iPhone will be back to the original settings state as when it left the manufacturing factory, typically a working phone again if you face any problem, unless it’s hardware related

Iphone

Hi,

two questions:
1. Do you use Mac or PC??
2. What version is your Iphone on now? 2.2?

Dont worry as of today ANY iphone on ANY version can be unlocked.

Im pretty sure that Ziphone is not uptodate anymore.
I recommend Pwnagetool or Quickpwn to unlock/jailbreak current versions of Iphone software.
