when i turn the ty on the gren light appears and inmidiatle turns to red what i can do

I have had the same problem twice. A very loud pop, then the TV goes off and eventually can be turned on again. I believe the problem is related to another problem where the picture brightens visibly and then dims. I suspect it may be connected to the dusty conditions the TV has been in while we've been doing construction. I am having the tv cleaned soon.

I have a Pioneer elite Pro 510HD and when I push the power button the light goes green and I can hear it click on, but then the light turns red and it shuts off. Any ideas?

Hi If you haven't fixed this problem yet then this should take care of it.
I also had the same problem with the same tv. Its in the power b oard. You need to re solder all of the joint connections on the board. If this doesn't help you can search out the problem with tv since it is a very common problem
hope this helps

I have a pioneer Pro 200 and have had it for a dozen years. I have an HD in my office and the picture is so good and bright on the Pioneer I just cannot bring myself to get rid of it. The TV blinks off...

Im going to guess that if you try turning it on, sometimes you hear a "click" and nothing then the problem persists over and over until it finally turns on? If so, it's a problem with the power that "jumpstarts" the screen. Worn out capacitors on older models don't hold the necessary charge it takes to "start" the inverter that powers the screen. Once those start to go, it's usually bye bye for the tv. That is IF this is your problem. Let me know. Sometimes it makes hissing or cracking noises along with it. hope this helps!

Pioneer 710 hd power/not turning on 10/12/08

When the set goes into protection BANG like that, without any intermittencies, usually the convergence ICs have gone out and need replacing. I recommend using the STK 392-180s, which are the stronger upgrade to the 392-110s used originally. You'll need 2.

My set is doing the same thing again. The last time I fixed this (4 years ago) it was a capacitor gone bad in the power supply for the 24v standby circuit. (C166)
The service manuals can be ordered directly from Pioneer Part Number ARP3014 for Pro-100 model.

The intermittencies you mention are common on this
series. The PS - power supply - board needs a
virtually complete resolder op, as the solder used in
that run of units was weak and thin. It will not get
better on its own, any more than needed dental work
will.

Send it to me and I will resolder it and send it back.
I have done so on a number of PS boards in this series,
and am running at 100% success on saving the
510/610/710 series of Pioneer Elites when all they need
is the resoldering op. There is a procedure to follow,
so contact me directly.

since your tv is 6yrs old it could be that the video circuit has cold solder that needs to be resolder if that does not work then a focus on the video circuit by replacing the component there, it could be an ic or transistors or diode.if you are not a tech get one to look at your set.good luck.for further help email me at nicodhem@yahoo.com
