Question about Motorola Mobility RAZR V3

1 Answer

Three problems... Alright My V3 is a gold Motorola Razr, but not D&G. Its casing is custom, and i don't know if this makes a difference. 1.My keypad buzzez whenever i flip the phone up. is this normal? 2.My phone keeps on giving me busy signals when i know for a fact that the person isn't busy. I tested it on my home phone. this may be my carrier, but i want to be sure. 3.My camera does not allow me to take pictures, but when you try to capture it shows a bright rainbow colored screen. Can anyone help me with any of these?

1. You may have water damage this would explain all of the problems. 2. I doubt very highly it's your carrier 3. If you have dropped your phone, your camera lens may be cracked causing the screen to pick up primary colors, or once again it's water damage. If the screen does different variations of color in different patterns or only partial images... the lens is cracked. Otherwise... YOU'VE GOT WATER DAMAGE... say goodbye to the Razor.

The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).

Unlock motorola v3 razr

This really all depends on what carrier you have for this phone.

Most GSM carriers ie; T-mobile, AT&T, will unlock your phone for free simply by asking customer service to do it.

All you need is the IMEI number off the back. Usually located under the battery. Call them up and tell them you'd like to have your phone unlocked just in case you either travel or end up switching carriers.

Usually they'll do it for free and email you the directions within 24hrs.

Lost unlock code

Depending on how many modifications, hacks, or customizations that you perform on your Motorola RAZR V3 phone, there may be situations where the phone becomes unusable or completely locks up. I have had visitors to the site report not being able to delete ring tones, text messages, or have other strange behaviors with their Motorola RAZR V3 phone.

If this is you situation, then you may be interested in performing a master reset (or “hard reset”) on your phone. The master reset will effectively restore your phone back to the factory condition, inclusive of all settings. Be warned, any data that you have not backed up, photos you have not transferred, calendar settings, or messages you have not saved will be lost! Make sure you do this first, if possible!

Here is how you perform a Master Reset on the Motorola RAZR V3:
1. Open your phone up and go to “Settings”
2. Next go to the selection for “Initial Setup”
3. Next go to the selection for “Master Clear”
4. Then select to confirm the option.
5. Now enter the security code which should be “000000”
6. Finally press select or ok and the phone will reset itself to the factory condition

Congratulation you have performed a “hard reset”, “hard reboot”, or “master reset” on your Motorola V3 RAZR and it should return to normal operating mode!

Connection

There could be a few issues.

  1. Make sure your USB port is working correctly. If you can connect other devices through the same port without any issues, it's probably alright.
  2. Make sure your phone is on and fully charged before you connect.
  3. Makre sure you have the latest version of MPT via Live Update.

Camera problem

1) Open the back of your Razr by removing the back cover
2) You do not need to remove the battery
3) You'll notice a little gold switch below the battery on the right-hand side
4) The gold switch should be in the left position
5) Move the gold switch from the left to the right and back again to the left
6) Replace the back cover, and try your camera now.

I don't know why this worked for me, but I 18 photo remaining again.

Hope this works for you, good luck.
