TRIANGULAR SHAPED ALARM LIGHT FLASHING. CAN'T USE PRINTER

ALARM LIGHT IS FLASHING. PRINTER WILL NOT OPERATE. I HAVE UNPLUGGED POWER AND PC CORD TO NO AVAIL. IT WILL NOT BRING THE INK CARTRIDGES OVER. RESUME BUTTON DOES NOTHING. PREVIOUSLY WHEN YOU DISCONNECTED THE POWER CORD AND RECONNECTED THE CORD, THE PRINTER WOULD GO THROUGH A LENGTHY STARTUP MODE.IT DOESN'T DO THIS ANY MORE. THANK YOU.

If it is fixed, why would I tell you how I did it? You are going to charge me $10 to $20 to tell me how you would fix it. No thanks.

I have an MP530 printer - error message 5C10 is

You could try resetting the printer:

1) On the panel, press and hold the <On/Off> button until the display goes blank (approx. 1 second). If the display does not go blank, unplug the power cord.

2) Wait approx. 10 seconds, plug in the power cord (if removed in previous step), press the <On/Off> button to power on the unit.

3) Wait for the printer to cycle through its startup routine before trying another print job.

I hope this helps!

Have a canon mp 240 keeps flasing P and 3 and the alarm light and on button are also flashing......what the it wont scan it wont print does any one know what this means

When the Power and Alarm lamps flash alternately, and P and number (error code) are alternately displayed on the LED, an error requiring servicing might have occurred.

Turn off the machine, and unplug the power cord of the machine from the power supply. Plug the power cord of the machine back in, and then turn on the machine. If the problem is not resolved, contact your Canon service representative.

Error 5100

Hello! Try this:
1. Unplug the power cord

2. While pressing the ON button, plug the power cord back in.
The power light should flash an orange/yellow color.
Continue pressing the ON button, and press the RESUME button 4 times. The light changes every time you press it.

3. Release both buttons, and restart the printer.

The printer should now stop blinking and operate as usual.
I hope this works for you. OMS
