''end of parts useful life'' message

Our C86 was printing just fine when I get an "end of useful life" message from the printer . . . and it won't print at all now. We no longer have a manual for this printer, so we can't look up the reference. Any suggestions? Thanks!

received same message. Nozzle cleaning cannot be accomplished andyellow ink does not print at all.
    Can the printer be self-serviced?

Received same message. manual does not address this. At same time, yellow ink does not print nor does new cartridge solve the problem. Can the user service the end-of-useful life components?

Parts inside your printer are near the end of their service life. See your printer documentation. _ Epson R200 printer.

Regarding the Epson Artisan 800, I must thank FixYa and ask that the search for a solution be discontinued.Yesterday, I had an unfortunate accident while trying to unclog the print head which had been printing poorly over the last three months. I used a syringe to force a solvent solution through the clogged head. To my utter surprise the supply line exploded with a loud "POP" meanwhile spraying ink all over the place. At this point it was clear that it was pointless trying to redeem the old Artisan 800. Thank you FixYa. Henry.

Paper out and ink lights flashing intermitantly had the message parts were to old etc

Every printer has a life expectancy/ number of papers it can print in its lifetime. Your has gone beyond that.
It's cheaper to buy a new one than to try to fix it.

How can i solve my problem in my EPSON R230." this is the message that will display in my screen...: Parts inside your printer are at the end of their service life. and its ink and paper lights is...

If you are using NON epson ink catridges? This is most likely your problem. I would recommend that you use only Epson products for your Epson printer. These "made in China" inks can ruin printers fast. If you are using only epson cartridges and this is still the case? You may have worn your printer out.

Hope this helps

Epson C88+ printer suddenly stopped printing

Sorry this is a bit rushed but just quickly..

Problem is your waste ink counter has triggered the "change my diaper" warning..ie: your waste ink pads are full.

Easiest way to resolve this is to fit an external waste ink tank (guide here)

.. and reset the waste ink counter using the tool available from here:
http://www.wasteink.co.uk/epson-ipr-reset/

I wrote both guides and have modified 6+ C84/C86 and D88 printers now, so if you hit any problems post again and I should be able to help.

Cheers

Epson Stylus C86 - prints faint magenta even though ink levels are in a normal printing range - does not print anything or a barely seen magenta line during nozzle check and heading cleaning

You probably have a slowly worsening clog building up in the Magenta nozzles. It's also possible that your ink is reaching its end of life which, given the age of the C86 is entirely possible, especially if you are refilling or using a CIS sytem with your printer.

If it's a clog issue you can try soaking the parking pad with a mildly ammoniated cleaning solution (original Ammonia windex is good for this) or even distilled water. Leaving this with the printhead parked above it allows the solution to wick up into the nozzles and break down any clogs in the printhead.

If the problem is ink age though you will probably want to carry out the solution above AND replace your ink with a fresh solution. A CIS will need a thorough flush to remove any algae and cloggation residues before you use it again or you will just reintroduce the problem.

Hope that helps.

Error - printer part are at the end of service life, see printing

I have had a R300 for a while now and had a few cartridges in it. Recently a message came up on the screen 'parts inside your printer are at the end of their life' and the printer refused to work!
After searching the web it appears to be a waste ink counter, but I could not find any info on resetting it.
So I tried pressing different combinations of buttons on the printer and success.

Press and hold 'stop' 'maintenance' and 'power' buttons for about 10 seconds, a message will come on the screen saying counter is reset and to turn off.

Thats it turned my printer back on and all works fine again.

I hope this helps R300 owners out!
