Upon Starting the washer it locks the door and starts, then The F1 Starts flashing and the washer stops. IF I stop it and start it really quick by the third try It will run through it's cycle. Help this has been an ongoing problem since I bought this machine. I am really frustrated with this.
Our Kenmore Elite WAsher is just over 2 years old and is doing the same thing. Sometimes I hvae to press stop and start just once and other times twice. Has anyone found an uncostly solution?
THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM, CODE F1 AND I SPEND THE FIRST 5 MINUTES AT THE WASHER AT EACH WASH TURNING THE THING OFF AND THEN ON AGAIN AND IT FINALLY GOES THROUGH THE CYCLE. HAVE TRIED USING DIFFERENT SETTINGS BUT NOTHING SEEMS TO WORK. AFTER READING ALOT OF WRITE UPS FROM CUSTOMERS I DON'T THINK SEARS WILL BE OF MUCH HELP.

news for Oasis F-51 sufferers! Sears
will replace the electronic control board (the F51 prob) for free, in warranty
or not. Serial #s for the bad board are: CS48 - CS52 or CT01-CT49. Call Sears
hv to rate me ‘very helpful’, or the call won’t get thru!!
YES! Serious problem...more annoying than anything else. Wait until your machine stops at the spin cycle and displays "F1" again. We just had a repair tech out today and received a quote of $384+ to fix/replace the circuit board.
Kenmore & Sears are fully aware of this problem and have issued a recall on a model that is one digit off of the model I have yet they will not do anything about this even though it is the same problem. These machines are huge dogs!
Moister can get in between the contacts,is it in a high moister environment? Try using a hair dryer on the panel to dry it out. Also unplug it to reset.
Hope this helped.Let me know by rating me For more help go to live chat. lenwest
Sorry to tell you but you have a faulty control board. It is a bad part from the factory. They know that its bad too! They have completely remanufactured the part. There is lawsuit against whirlpool (whirlpool made the oasis) for the problem. Some people have been able to call and complain to whirlpool and got them to pay for the repair. Complain a lot. Good luck. sorry for the bad news.
Ok these are not the series 70, getting a model number off the door will reallllllly help. Some of these sound like the oasis. F1 is motor control or primary control failure and F 41 is a rps thermistor failure.
For the guest with the 11027086601 kenmore elite oasis here is a link for supplying me with a partial model number, much thank yous!! paste in a browser:)
