You have to take the machine to a pc repair shop and have the AC adapter replaced

My laptop wont charge i think it has a broken internal power supply

Bad cord/charger, bad battery? What give you the idea that " i think it has a broken internal power supply" Your saying your laptop will not charge the battery? Does the laptop work? If so the power supply is OK.

Hi

Can you please try to leave laptop switched off
plug in laptop and leave until the light on front goes green or at least 2/3 hrs

then unplug power cord
switch on laptop and use it or leave it until it looses all power and switches off

then recharge until green

when battery is fully charged always un plug and use on battery power
until it reaches about 10% before recharging

some people even remove their battery to preserve it if they always use power cord

if this does not sort the problem please come back to us

many thanks

I lost my power cord to asus laptop, and my laptop wont charge with other power cords, so do I need to just buy a new power cord? or because it wont power up is there something wrong with my laptop?

You will need to buy another power cord for the exact model of your laptop. You can either find it in local computer stores, or you can search for it on ebay.com (usually search by laptop make & model, & usually buy from a top seller).

If the laptop is old think about changing the battery.

Sounds to me like the transformer circuit that enables the batery to charge. If you have bought your machine within the last 12 months it should still be covered by warranty so go back to the supplier. If not covered I wouod still try as it is not beyond reasonable expecations that the machine will operate perfectly in very way for more than 1 year.

I dropped my laptop and now the battery will not charge.

Most likely its the DC Power Jack. Happened to me. You can find the part online by searching for "450ROG DC Jack" and then just resolder yourself or take it to a repair shop.

Dropped my gateway laptop. Now it wont charge battery.

If you do not have either a manufacturer warranty or extended warranty from the retailer use it now. Contact them. Avoid telling them that you dropped the computer...you will void a manufacturer warranty. If you don't have either option then you can continue portability with an external laptop battery. They tend to be heavy, but they tend to provide 5 or more hours of portable use. The extended battery plugs into the same socket as your regular external power supply. I have included some links for product options.

Inspiron 1300 Laptop wont go on

I have seen this problem before. If you can take out your memory and set it aside for about 10 mins. Then put the memory back in. Keep the battery out and try connecting the laptop to external power. If this does not work then you probably have a blown power connector or motherboard. You can get a replacement board for about 175.00 and installed for a total about $350.00. You can get new laptops for that price or a little higher. I would take a look at the possibilities first before spending more money. Take a look on Ebay you will see your same laptop for less than the repair cost.
