Paper pulls to the left and won't load properly to print

Without knowing what brand/model printer you have, I can only guess... Inkjet paper has a coating on it that can over time make the rollers slippery. You can clean these rollers by taking a sheet of cardstock, lightly spraying it with alcohol, and running it through the printer several times. Run a dry sheet through afterwards to make sure the rollers are dry....

A vertical black line appear on each paper when the document feeder is used to make copies; such vertical line does not appear on papers when copying on the glass surface. How do I resolve this...?

when you open the copier platen cover, left of the copy glass, there is small narrow glass, which is used when you make copies from ADF. Over that glass is plastic protective sheet. Remove it and clean, also clean the glass. Use glass detergent and after cleaning dry it!

Even the smallest dirt can cause lines!

Hope that helps!

When using the top loader to make copies, the copies come out with a line down the whole sheet?

I fixing is verry simple.Open the top cover of the copier(where you are putting the paper you want to copy). There should be two glasses(One big and one smaller wich is under the top loader). You need to clean the little glass from any dirt.Even a small peace of dirt can make a whole line on the paper, beacuse the scanner is not moving, but the paper is.So clean the little glass(wich is next to the big one and the line will be gona.replay if you need any futher help. Please vote if that was helpfull!!

When i make copies only a single black line appears on the sheet ??

lift up the doc feeder and look at the **** glass(long rectangular piece of glass) sometimes white out or toner gets stuck on it... or even a staple... clean it with rubbing alcohol and a smooth piece of cloth... try copying again... if it returns and the glass is clear... look right above the **** glass where the plastic sits that guides the paper sometimes ink or whiteout builds up there and you have to clean it... if its tough to get out use your fingernails...

I’m happy to assist further over the phone at

How do I stop a black line appearing on the copy of an original document

Try this- Make sure the whole glass area of the copier is covered with white paper,
ie. lay the document face down, and any glass area you can still see- cover with sheets of blank white paper
Good luck

Black line

Is the paper you are using a bond paper and a little heavy. The line is most likely comming from the fusing ass'y. Are you running it LTR size? Try runing it LTR-R size. It will not put as much fores on the fuser and it will run a little slower. Also try the by-pass. Or try to run some Blank White pages though it to clean the fusing ass'y. You also may need to rebiuld or replace the fusing ass'y.

The small scanner glass (not the full size glass) has some dirt on it. Use a lint-free cloth (not paper) with alcohol or Windex and clean the glass. This should help.
