Can hear sound from front 2 headrest but not back 2 (T-view 10'')
I have a couple of issues. The sound from the 2 headrest in front can be heard through the radio, but the 2 in the back cannot. If playing something different. We also have wireless headsets and they pick up the front monitors movie as well as the back. When we shut the car off, everything turns off. When we turn the car on and turn the monitors back on everything starts from the beginning.
Re: Can hear sound from front 2 headrest but not back 2...
Sounds like you have a couple of problems. 1) your headrests accessory wire is not hooked up or it doesnt have one, that would fix your problem with the movies starting all over again. check this by changing your color really high or low on a monitor turn the key off wait a few seconds then on again then check to see if the color stayed the same, if it did then you may have low quality or off brand monitors. 2) the sound issue could be kind of tricky the rear headrests may be hooked up but you may need to turn the sound on trough the head unit and this all depends on the make and model you have. i would suggest you take this to your local stereo shop or wherever you had it originally intalled. they should be able to check this out for you.
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

Sep 6, 2008 - So I've searched and I've tried to yank the rear headrests out like what I'm reading and I ... Bimmerforums - The Ultimate BMW Forum - Powered by vBulletin... 3 series & 4 Series (E21, E30, E36, E46, E9x, F30, F32, F33, F44).
It can be a couple things. Something bad on the power board. Or the vertical output circuit. How long ago did you purchase the television. Your best course of action is to have it serviced. If you need any information or other assistance let me know. Thanks, Lee
I turned my headrests backward. Worked great. In fact, I wonder if the engineers designed them that way but the production guys build them backward??? 1) Tilt the seat way back to allow room to remove headrests, 2) Press and hold both headrest release tabs at the same time and have someone else pull out the headrest completely, 3) turn the headrests backward and insert into the two headrest guide slots (headrests fit the same either way). 4) No more pain in the neck !!! Caution: I do not know what this does for whiplash injury protection but it seems OK for my own comfort with the solution. And it beats the pain in the neck caused by the bass-akwards design.
two answers,depending on seat.
1.push in 1/2 moon shape piece at bottom of post and lift,it is stiff...
2.about 6 inches down from the post on the back of the seat you will feel a small 1" pad, push it in hard and lift headrest,it will be stiff.
better if someone sits in back and tries to move headrest at first cos you will only have one hand free
and from experience a face full of headrest can hurt.
Lift the headrest to it highest postion. Insert a thin stick parallel to the head rest bar (the side facing the rear of the vechicle) I used a thin paint stirring stick, a Slim Jim is ideal.
Once the stick is inserted (10" give or take) push the head rest down holding the stick steady, then pull the headrest back up and it will come off the seat.
Hope this helps.
Most volvo headrest can be removed by releasing the catches which are on the back of the headrest on some models and on the front on others I believe on 960 they are on the back. To release the seat on a 960 look where the shafts should be then follow it down on the back where the seat back top stops then goes in press around that area you should be able to find the catch there pull up on the headrest while releasing the catch you have to do this on both sides. The headrest should come off this also works on 740 and 760 series the volvo 780 is a different story the only way to get the headrest off on that is to disassemble the seat
