I just got a new mini dvd camcorder, trying to play back on the tv, Can't get it to play, says if you can't view it to: Select the imput channel on the TV. Can't find my manual and don't know how to select imput channel, and check the tv's imput setting (imput switch) where is it? all my other cables are plugged in correctly. help, thanks.

I have a universal remote that is able to control some functions on my tv. I am trying to get the tv into auxiliary mode to connect it to my dvd player. How do I get it into auxiliary mode?

Usually the tv will switch automatically to the correct reception mode as soon as it detects an input into the scart socket.

I have and have had a number of tv sets and they all do this, though I do remember many years ago needing to select the AV channel. I believe these days the AV channel is for the other audio/video input sockets.

I suggest you connect your dvd player to the tv, switch on the tv and then press "play" on the dvd.
You should be able to enjoy viewing without further effort.

If you change channel on the tv to check what is on, the dvd reception will be lost. To save the trouble of disconnecting the scart lead and reconnecting I use a manual scart distribution box so simply pressing the button provides the required interruption so dvd viewing can be resumed.

RCA f20580wn 20" TV about 20 years old

Hopefully you have the problem solved.

If not, the RCA plugs, listed as input 1 and 2 are shown on channel 91 and 92.

I recommend connecting the DVD to either input. Turn on the DVD. Then run the auto programming function of the TV. It will find and program the channel for the DVD. Then use the channel up or down on the remote you are currently using and you should find a working DVD.

Hope this helps.

Cars tv and ps2

I have a lightning mcqueen 13' tv model# C1310ATV, and a little purple car-DVD player model # C8000 for my grandson, I cannot get dvd to play on tv? Should I hook it up(dvd) to back of tv or the front of tv, and if so, is there a switch over button for dvd to normal tv watching. TV is hooked up to Direct tv and plays fine. But can't get dvd to play on tv, I've tryed channels 2, 3, and 4. But no picture. Again is there a switch over button or auxiliary button or ???

Your help and consideration, concerning this problem will be greatly appreciated by my grandson and myself. Thanks

Will not work with cable

The set has a problem with the tuner itself and there are no resets in this new sets, you should remove the back cover and carefully tap with a wooden or rubber handle the tuner area where the cable comes in to see if a channel would tunes in,if it does react is likely it has loose conections in the tuner grounds or pins, the conector where you screw the cable to can not be loose either,it should be nice and solid,if you are familiar with tv service is something you can try but if you are not too familiar call for assistance from a servicer or just save the money and use a vcr to change the channels using the same imput as the dvd player unless you have two separete aux.imputs. Let Us know if you need more information.
